I cannot find the specs of the nec 8100 anywere can anyone help me findout what the motherboard is and other compatible motherboards?

It appears the system is quite obsolete. Investing more money may not be advisable, but I have discovered several sellers of old pulls online with the matching motherboard. Open case screws

You should open your computer and reset the data cable which connects the motherboard and the screen. If it's not going to fix it, then you would need to get a technician to look at the motherboard and the LCD so that he can identify which part is causing the problem.

Im using NEC VERSA P8100 laptop & the problem is my keypad not working so i can't type my password to log in.may somebody help me please..

You should use and external usb keyboard to plug into your laptop usb port and then turn on laptop. The bios will detect the external keyboard and allow you to use it to type in the password.

Installed Windows 7 and sound hardware missing on NEC Versa P8100

you will need to go to the NEC website and get the updated windows 7 drivers, if they are unavailable you can also use the windows vista driver instead
