My tv model e470-a0 vizio turns off and on with the backlight and the vizio on screen logo is crystal clear on startup. No picture and sound other than some very very faint scrambled lines towards the upper screen. No dust very clean. No bulged capacitors. Wiggled most components. Unplugged rc connector with no change.

T con board affects picture only. since you are having issues with both the picture and audio I would suspect the main board which deals with both.

It uses a LG display panel & it has a common problem that burn out LED diodes.
To fix:
1. Change all of the strip at once & use new one.
2. Replace the power supply.

Hi i have a Vizio E470-A0 That wont turn on. I press the power button and it turns on for a second then fades or just cuts off.

Does your 12 volt remain at 12 after it shuts off or does it drop to 0?..This model was known for issues with the LED lamps themselves but Ive seen a number of sets where the LED's were fine and it was the power supply or main boards bad

My screen is flickering on and off on Vizio LCD TV? I was wondering if it was the main board or the T-Con board.

Flickering can be either with the fault to its back-light inverter or with its main power supply regulator board.
