Hello all, I have a working setup with a maya 44 usb on my notebook with xp home sp3 and it work perfectly with last drivers 2.817. Now i'm trying to install it on my desktop pc (xp pro sp3) that is full of usb periphs. I have scanner, Logitech Quickcam, Nokia mobile phones, usb hub, card reader, printer.... I've seen that when i connect maya winxp recognize it as USB SPEAKERS and audio working great (not asio and multichannel support obviously). When i install drivers 2.817 (tried all the others, 6 version!) everything goes fine, no error, but sound is crackle and SLOW (like a pitch shifting in slow). It sound like a USB conflict, but also tried to uninstall and unconnect all the other usb devices but same thing happens. Also tried to uninstall usb controller on windows and reinstall it but nothing...obviously i've tried to change usb port... In Maya driver detail i've seen that it use LVUSBSTA.sys , a logitech quickcam drivers. But i've seen that if i uninstall quickcam maya doesn't use more that driver and sound remain crackle and slowly... Any idea, it's obviously an OS problem (XP SP3) but i don't want to format it...too much time ! 1 year ago it works perfectly... Thanks and sorry for my bad english...Dario P.S. In virtual DJ when i try to setup the card with multichannel it give's me ASIO ERROR. I've tried also to install asio4all unsuccessfully because the driver doesn't work...

use yumi to create a bootable usb (the first link)
the second link is the iso file
also it is recommended not to use windows XP as your main operating system. If you are using for research or something else then its alright.

The best audio interface for computers is the maya 44 usb i have used it with my gear for virtual dj for 3 years now. it is perfect and has great timing.
you need to update your drivers and do your windows updates too
some devices will require certain service pack updates from microsoft before they will work properly
XP Home & Professional need SP2 for high speed usb to work correctly
SP3 seems to disable some functions
As an update to the posted problem, I have got the camera software loaded by opening the disc contents and then opening folders and clicking on individual setup arrows. This after the auto setup for the disc, repeatedly failed to work with the XP home SP3.
As this is only a partial success and not the way it all should have installed, I am now talking to HP about the issue.
Yes the camera now works on my XP operated laptop, but not all the arcsoft and HP add ons work yet. Watch this space.
are you using timecodes if you are go to config and dont select maya 44 put asio then put asio config on the side and look for the volumes and ajust them
you need to go to asio config and open the controls tab and mute the first two channels on the left hand side you will hear your music without the humming noise.
