How can l get to the start compresor on a candy condenser dryer.lve taken the top , left side panel front panel off .l can see the compresor but can't access it .thanks.

when you slide it in...........try pulling down on the front.......to raise the back end................

The condenser unit will only fit in one way there are normally arrows on the front telling you what way or some you just have to align the 3 locks some are difficult to push back into position you have to lift the back end when pushing back patience is the virtue on these sometimes

Pat, Have you found a solution to this yet? I have got exactly the same fault today ! Having taken the top & left side of the dryer off, I found what looks like a broken drive belt - not the main drum drivebelt which is fine, but a shorter one (about 18cm diameter loop) with no obvious place for it to have come from. Any clues would be appreciated. Dave ([email protected])

UNPLUG DRYER B4 YOU START ANYTHING !you need a puttknife locate two clip on both side of the dry botton access panel push the blade in over the top of clip while pull on the left side dryer some time the clip are hard to let go,an if you got a old model you have to take the lint screen out of top of dryer take two screw out on front top of the front panel there two clip you use your flat head screwdrive are puttknife locate the two clip on left an right side of dry pop the top lift up an look down on the left an right inside dry there two 5/16 srew you got to remove an lift panel up an off. the gas coil should be locate on the left are right side of dryer depend on model

I had this problem too. I removed the top panel - it slides out (three screws at the top rear). This exposes the electrical wiring at the top front of the machine. ENSURE YOU HAVE REMOVED THE MAINS PLUG BEFORE YOU START. Three screws hold the button plate to the front panel. Slide off the top side pieces and remove the the three screws holding the front panel to the top. You can the lean the front panel out (its still held at the bottom) to get at the screws (take care not to drop them into the machine).The click mechanism is sealed and cannot be dismantled.
You can then use strong (duct tape or gaffer tape) to tape the push button in the on posistion. Or you could place strong tape with some sort of stiff material over the inside of the top button aperture. Alternatively without having to remove the top panel push the on/off button in fully and slightly to the left. The button will then jam in the opening. I'v also heard of someone jamming the switch in by using a cocktail stick between the aperture and the button.
FOR ALL THE ABOVE SOLUTIONS YOU MUST HAVE AN ALTERNATIVE TO THE ON/OFF BUTTON BY REMOVING THE MAINS PLUG OR HAVE IT IN A SWITCHABLE SOCKET.
I will shortly be going to Maplin Electronics to see if I can source a replacement switch.

the heating element is probably bad. most dryers come apart from the front, starting with 2 screws on the bottom of the front. the heating element is usually in the back and kind of looks like the inside of a toaster, but bigger. they are not hard to replace, just make sure you turn the power off first.

i have i candy cdc 266 reverse action tumble dryer and the condenser has gone on it

FIRST UNPLUG UNIT!!
Remove 2 screws by filter area on main top.
Grab back of dryer and pull top forward while holding dryer in place with knees. Do this to pop up top on front left then front right. Remove 2 screws holding front panel 2 side panels. They are at top front of side panels, inside.
Pull front panel out at top and pull up to remove front panel. Put belt around drum with grooved side toward drum.
