I have a new ademco 5827BD and can not get it to accept activation proceedure

u have to wait untill u get the activation and reactivation sign in ur handset while transfering the itunes, otherwise it will cause problems for ur handset.

i know it sounds stupid but make sure that the product key that you are entering is the product key that it thinks you are entering. For instance, if you got the product key for the professional version, it won't work in the standard edition or in the student edition. if it gives the product key in an email or some other electronic form, don't just copy and paste it; type it in for yourself. sometimes entry forms don't like copy+paste.

Yes but, what you have described is a basic keypad that can receive signals from wireless components of your system. What you need to find is 1) the transformer for the system ( usually tan about 2.5" square) and the main control box 15"tall by 12" wide (inside will be the back up battery) You will need an owners manual and a installation/programming manual for your system. The manuals are available online or post your info here. The door of the main control will have sticker saying which model you have. Now you should be able to follow the directions and be up and running in less than an hour if everything is working properly. If not, you may have a variety of batteries to replace.

Here are the steps you need to follow.
First turn off and restart your computer. Then press F10 to enter the System BIOS Settings. Select F9 (Setup Defaults) and when it asks Load Default Configuration Now? , Enter YES. Then, press F10 (Save and Exit) and when it asks Save Configuration Changes And Exit Now, Enter YES. This should restore the wireless LAN button to its original factory settings. Once you restart the computer the button will be listed as disabled, but press on the button and it should work again.
