Machine is screaming for descaling. The Calcium deposits in the system are slowing down heating.
Do not think of using Vinegar.
Do not use R.O water or consider water is very soft in your area. There is nothing like that.

SOURCE: Our Saeco Vienna deluxe had a couple of problems:

What does the coffee produced taste like, is it bitter and watery, is there any creama on the espresso shot. Try adjusting the grind and the coffee level, maybe a little coarser.

SOURCE: Saeco Vienna Deluxe leaking problem and grinder problem

I would repair it, it sounds like the grinder needs to be adjusted (burrs may be dull), and the leak on the bottom may be coming from the small drain hole on the back of the brew chamber. If you remo;ve the chamber you will see the white water valve that the chamber connect to, if you look below the white valve the small chamber in there will be filled with water, below that there is a small discharge use a stit stick or paper clip to clear hole.

SOURCE: Stuck on ventilate

Try this, open steam wand, if it calls for ventilate pusi in steam knob, if that works then the tap rod on the steam valve needs to be replaced. To me it sounds like the machine is building up pressure and the discharge is not releasing through the water circuit.

SOURCE: Saeco Vienna Deluxe starts brew cycle then red light comes on

Hi
I think you put the tubes on backwards to the flow meter. The inlet side of the flow meter is by the pump and the exit to the pump is by the water tank. They cross.

Is my Coffee Machine dead?

Hi, you should check first the safety contacts (door open detection, brew group inserted detection) that will prevent your machine doing its initialization properly.
If all contacts are OK (check with a multimeter), it might be the electronics board has a failure. If the lights goes on, the power supply seems ok. Try ti figure-out which section is faulty.
Do you have any alarm light on ?

Hope that helps.

Saeco Vienna grinds too much coffee.

Hi
If you have the Delux or Digital there are 2 knobs in the bean hopper. Turn the small knob back 1 mark and see if that will help.

Grind settings

The factory setting should be 8. The higher numbers are finer. The + and - knob is the doser amount, the amount of coffee in a shot dose. Average is 7 gm, the middle. The highest is 14, I think. Generally, the highest dose shouldn't be used consistently because it can cause stress on the brew group. Just brew two shots.

Saeco Vienna Deluxe odd burning smell

gears are probably broke. Happens when to much coffee and coffee ground too fine get compacted into the brew drive unit.

Shreds the plastic gears like butter.

Machine has to be sent out for service, gear replacement is long and impossible for anyone untrained. Trained techs it takes at least an hour if not more.
