Install a brand new needle. If it still does not pull up the bobbin thread, then the machine is probably out of time. Search for sewing machine timing or take it for service.
Be careful if you have a two piece body machine because once you have taken screws out of the back there are plastic lugs on the inside of the casing that you have to locate, my advice is to oil all the parts that you can see or take it to a sewing machine shop
