Both the main and power board could cause the issue you're facing, only way to know what one is measure the power supply voltages, if they're ok after it's been on awhile it's most likely the main board. One other thing I'd do is run firmware or software updates as this could cause the issue

Look at the buffer board or the Y sustain board on a plasma having picture aberrations.

the format you will most likely need is mpg. or uncompressed AVI, divx or xvid.

most of them have a date right on the rear panel near the model number..you can type the model number in you search bar and you should be able to find manuf. dates on them
