SOURCE: Doesn't spin the clothes dry on the final spin but spins at high revolutions without a load of clothes

I have read that if the pump is not draining the tub completely, there is an interlock that prevents the high speed spin from engagin. I have had debris caught in my pump several times (kids!!) with similar issues. There is a trap on the line leading from the tub to the pump which is "supposed" to capture debris, but it doesn't work all that well. Check your pump.....

SOURCE: I have a whirlpool front load washing machine model WFW8300SW00

Hay Crab.
what I have found is that the washer thinks it is not pumping out .. if your drain pump is clearly removing the all the water in a good time... then the problem is your pressure switch...it is telling the computer that it still has water in the machine...

replace the pressure switch and it will solve your f21 error.

It is a round unit on the right hand side on top...with a tube and wires going to it...let me know if it helps

Washer will not empty water all the way & E20 flashes on the screen. What is the problem?

E20 is not an exact error code. It's indicating a possible pump out problem. Here is a few possible causes of an E20 error code:

1. Restriction in the drain pump

2. Failed pump

3. Water not pumping out fast enough (crimped drain hose)

4. Too many suds ( too much detergent or wrong kind)

5. Pressure switch (not communicating with control board)

6. Loose wire at pressure switch

7. Loose wire at pump or control board

8. Failed control board

Suds and then f35 error code shortly afterbstarting any wash cycle.

SUDS error = SUDS LOCK (OVERDOSE OF DETERGENT
DETECTED DURING THE WASH CYCLE)
If suds are detected continuously by the pressure switch during the drain or spin phases, the washer will fill 4 liters of water and during 5 minutes the unit will rest without tumbling, the water will be drained
and it will try to spin or drain again.

If too much detergent was used:
- Run the unit through a RINSE/SPIN cycle.
- Run a NORMAL cycle without adding any detergent.
This should clear the unit of the excess detergent.
1. Check the drain hose and make sure it is not plugged or kinked.
2. Unplug washer or disconnect power.
3. Check wire harness connections to the drain pump, pressure switch, and Central Control Unit (CCU).
4. Check/clean drain pump filter of foreign objects.
5. Plug in washer or reconnect power.
6. Check drain pump.
7. Check the pressure switch.
8. Verify CCU operation by running a Diagnostic Test or any cycle.

F35 error = ANALOG PRESSURE SENSOR FAILURE
If this failure is displayed, there is any malfunction of the steamer component detected by the Steamer Electronic Board.

1. Check if pressure hose is fi xed correctly.
2. Check if the airtrap is not blocked.
3. Check if the hose is not blocked.

Getting a H then a F error when the washer is washing a load.... I ended up turning it off. I've also received a F 02 error and a SUD error.

Hello, the H and F error means no water is detected entering the machine or the pressure switch trip is not detected. If the control has turn the water valves on and after 8 minutes the flow meter has detected 10.5 gallons of water passing through it, but has not detected the pressure switch trip, the valve will be turn off and the error code will be display.
So try the following steps
1. Check drain pump operation
2. Check the pressure switch hose to see if it's in good condition and properly connected to tub and pressure switch
3. Check is it is not a siphon problem
4. Check wire harness connections to: inlet valves, pressure switch, drain pump, flow meter, and central control unit(CCU)
5. Check all hoses for possible leaks
6. Check pressure switch operations
7. Check flow meter operation
8. Check CCU operation

F-02 ERROR: Means "Long Drain" that is if the drain time exceeds 8 minutes, the water valve are turn off and F-02 is flashed. Check the following
1. Check the drain hose and make sure it is not plugged kinked.
2. Check the drain pump filter for foreign objects
3. Check the electrical connections at the pump and make sure the pump is running.
And for the SUD error means after 4 minutes of the draining process the "sud"error will be display and 4 minutes later the F-02 will be displayed. So apply the solution for the F-02 to these.
Thanks

Tried to wash a load of clothes and keep getting an error code "sub". The machine will not complete a cycle, won't rinse, etc. What does the error code mean and how can I fix it?

SUDS LOCK (OVERDOSE OF DETERGENT
DETECTED DURING THE WASH CYCLE)

The motor control unit senses a suds lock condition by analyzing the
current draw on the drive motor. If “Sud” is displayed a potential Suds
Lock is detected. This may signify a bad pump, an extra heavy load,
excessive detergent, or excessive suds.

Possible Causes / Procedure
■ If too much detergent was used:
—Run the unit through a Rinse/Spin cycle.
—Run a Normal cycle without adding any detergent.
This should clear the unit of the excess detergent.
1. Check the drain hose and make sure it is not plugged
or kinked.

4. Check/clean drain pump filter of foreign objects.
5. Plug in washer or reconnect power.
6. Check drain pump.
7. Check the pressure switch.
8. Verify CCU operation by running a Diagnostic test or any
cycle.

What does "nd" mean on my neptune washer

Hello tana_carney4,

Your in the FAV6800AW forum so I’ll assume your machine type is a FAV6800AW or FAV9800AW. I’m an owner of the FAV6800AW with some hands on experience with the machine.

The ND error code equals No Drain. The microprocessor on the Control Board keeps track of the time needed to receive a Low/Mid Level fill indication from the pressure switch at the start of a tub drain cycle. If that time elapses and the pressure switch is signaling that the tub has watering remaining then you trigger the ND error code. Is the tub empty or is there standing water in the tub with the ND error code?

If the wash tub is empty and you fail out of the wash cycle with the ND error code then I feel you have pressure switch failure, the pressure switch is signaling the Control Board incorrectly. We need to go into Service Mode “Board Input Test “ and check if the pressure switch is signaling a -1 with an empty tub (no water). If rhe pressure is signaling a -1 with an empty tub then the pressure switch is false signaling “Stuck Pressure Switch” you will error out in the wash cycle with the ND error code and the Pressure Switch will have to be replaced.

If the wash tub has standing water in the tub with a ND error code to the console we need to check for a failed drain motor, a drain pump impeller jam/clog. We would go into Service Mode turn the drain pump and listen. Do we hear the drain pump turn on? If so will it pump out 5 gallons of water in about 25 seconds or less as my working FAV6800AW will do? Further troubleshooting will require a DVM to verify that 120VAC is applied to the drain pump, If we have 120VAC at the drain pump motor connections and we don’t hear it turn on we would need to remove the drain pump and check for failed motor or jammed impeller. If the drain pump turns on but we have slow drain out of the drain pump we could would need to remove the drain line from the Sump Cap to the inlet of the drain pump and check for restrictions and possible impeller damage to the drain pump.

The question is do you just want know what the ND error code is?

Do you want to DIY the repair? If not then it would be time to call in a repair service.

Here is the FAV6800A/ FAV9800A Service Manual link.

If your machine type is not a FAV6800AW or FAV9800AW then please disregard my post.

Problems with Whirlpool Calypso GVW9959K Top Load Washer - getting the LD error code when starting a load of wash. Other issues before the LD error are 1) seems like there's always alot of lint on the...

The "LD" error code has resulted in a service call for me once. I watched what the service man did and he took the panel off of the bottom of the machine (3 - 5/16" screws) and then the drain assemply is in the rear of the unit. You must drain with a low height pan such as a dish drain pan. Then he found an wire from an underwire bra in there. This was the problem. $150 later we were good to go. This has happened twice since and I was able to remove this myself. Just be careful and take your time.

My whirlpool duet front load washing machine stops in mid cycle

F21 = LONG DRAIN ERROR

If the drain time exceeds 8 minutes the water valves turn off. After 4 minutes the “Sd” error will be displayed, then 4 minutes later the F21 error code will be displayed.

Press PAUSE/CANCEL two times to clear.

Procedure:

1. Check the drain hose and make sure it is not plugged or kinked.
2. Unplug washer or disconnect power.
3. Check the electrical connections at the pump and make sure the pump is running.
4. Check the drain pump filter for foreign objects.
5. Plug in washer or reconnect power.
5. If the above does not correct the problem, go to step 7.
6. Unplug washer or disconnect power.
7. Replace the pump.

Alternative Procedure:

If the machine cannot be forced to its diagnostic mode then:

1. Disconnect the washer from the power supply and water supply.
2. Remove the top panel by taking out the three screws in the back of the washer. The pressure switch is right on top.
3. Remove the Molex connector from the water level switch / pressure switch.
Refer to the picture below.
4. Reconnect the power supply but not the water supply.
5. Power the machine. The machine will enter diagnostic mode.
6. Power off the machine.
7. Replace the water level switch / pressure switch.
8. Reconnect the water supply.
9. Power on the machine it will work without error
