The save folder it is looking for probably doesn't exist. If you are using Canon CameraWindow DC, cancel out of the download popup by choosing "operate on images on camera". Then click on the button that looks like a folder with the word "set" below it. Click browse and select the folder you want your images saved to. (For example, "My Pictures".) Now click the button that has an arrow pointing from a camera to a computer. Your images should begin downloading to your computer without any error.

How do I transfer my iPad photos to my computer

First, Plug your iPad into your computer using a iPad charging cable, iTunes will usually by default open, just hide the window,, as well an AUTOPLAY window should open, find where you can see "open folders", click, Windows explorer will show an internal storage image file, double click the internal storage image, you should see a folder called DCIM, double click the DCIM folder. Once open, you should see several folders with funny numbers and letters, they make no sense, but, this is where images that were either, captured by camera or, from the iPad desktop capture feature will be stored, along with any other software that has the ability to capture an image and save it to the camera roll. You can open a folder or select one by clicking once on it, then press CTRL & the letter "?", this selects all the folders, the press CTRL & the letter "C" this will copy all the selected folders, then open your pictures folder, or where ever you'd like the images saved, press CTRL & the letter "P" this will now paste all the folders with the images from your ipad into the location you have selected. Done! Alternately you can sync your iPad, however you must first select the correct setting within iTunes to sync to the correct folder, as well you can turn on iCloud Drive and sync your photo's to the cloud system, which leaves a folder with all the synced images inside the iCloud folder. I hope you have found this information helpful, if you have please leave a positive rating. Good Luck!

Transfer to computer

You need the software on the cd rom that came with yor camera.
I quote from the manual: turn on the computer-plug the USB cable into the camera-plug the other cable end into a USB port on the computer-the image download window displays on the computer screen-use the software's browser function to choose the folder in which you would-be like to save your pictures-click Ok to download the images. Hope it works!

I am transferring images to my computer, which I have done before. Now I am getting the message "Save folder not found?" Have I moved it? Do I need to create it? How? Where? Please help....

My solution is to unistall your current canon software that holds 15 canon components in your computer. You will find them under system task and select remove programs. After you have uninstalled the program, reinstall your "Canon Digital Camera Disk" and follow their prompts. Now you should be able to transfer images again as per normal.
I have answered this question in detail under another question postered by "whitecar631" under canon "save folder not found" canon sd1100.
This worked for me, but I don"t know how to prevent it happening again. I do know the day I lost all "my pictures", I had previously deleted a large file in my documents. I also experienced "save folder not found" when I tried to transfer images from my canon ixus 100.
I was lucky enough that I had all of my original SD Flash Media Cards, so could transfer all my photos again. I have since put all my photos into labelled folders instead of dates and images.
Hope this helps, it appears to be a problem in the canon program. Joyce

Sharon,

When you launched the FinePix Viewer, go to "Settings", and then move your cursor down to "Way of Saving", tick the "Make Folder" by "Date", and then click "Browse" to identify the drive partition/folder to save your photos.
After that, click the icon with the symbol of the "camera to folder" on your top right corner, to upload your photos to your computer.

I can't find my pictures on the computer after transferring them from my camera.

If you have transferred your images from the camera then it should have been transferred to your document files. Plase try to search for the images in the my pictures folderr available with all the users particularily with the primary user. If not from the start key click for the search key and search for images. All the images avaibale to the user should now down load. You can then locate the files where it is located and go on to the folder.
If you have any other image loading programs like the picasa , the images can be shared and found easily.
Please check again in your camera for the pictures if you have not deleted them and download once again by manual selecction to the folder. hope this helps. Good day

Can't download large movie files to iphoto : (

i found the answer to my own question above and thought i'd share.

rather than iphoto, you can use "image capture," which is software that comes standard with the mac.

-Turn on your camera, and connect it to your computer with the cable that came with it.
-Close iPhoto if it opens automatically. Open Image Capture (Applications folder).
-Click Download Some to choose specific items to transfer, or click Download All to transfer all items.
If you click Download Some, choose the items to transfer, and click Download.

By default, Image Capture transfers still images to your Pictures folder, video files to your Movies folder, and music files to your Music folder. To choose another folder, choose Other from the Download To pop-up menu, then click Download Some or Download All.
