I need 3 digit codes for my GE universal remote to program my Toshiba

You should have bought a remote that was made for your television. They are $20 and called Facsimile Remotes. No programming and an exact copy of the original. Universal Remotes are so 1980 :>D

Code lists and manuals for GE remotes are available from http://www.jascoproducts.com/support/universal-remote-codes.asp . The 3-digit code list is here: http://www.jascoproducts.com/support/download-files/RemoteCode-3-Digit.pdf . The Sony DVD player codes to try are 166, 320, 321, 322, 361, 389, 399, 909 . (Sony DVD recorders may use 302, 321, 322.)

However, the codes programmed into a universal remote are limited to those for devices released 6 months or more before the remote was programmed. If your DVD player is newer than your remote, you may need a newer universal remote.

Which GE universal remote do you have? Does the remote use a 3-digit or a 4-digit code? To program most GE remotes for a TV, turn on the TV. Then press and hold the Code Search or Setup button until the indicator light comes on. Then press and release the TV button. Enter the first code available for your device. The indicator light should go off then check if the remote controls the functions of the TV. Repeat the above steps if the code doesn't work or doesn't control all the features of your TV.

Toshiba 4-digit TV codes are: 0159 0178 0109 0120 0181

The 3-digit codes are 170, 181 or 641 for Toshiba HDTVs.

Please note that the remote probably only has codes for devices that were released 6 months or more before the remote was programmed. If your TV is newer than your GE universal remote, you may need a newer remote.

According to the site located at http://www.eliztech.com/remotes/ge-4digit-codes.php , GE Universal Remotes operate on 3 and 4-digit codes. Furthermore, the 3-digit codes are sub-categorized as "old" and "new". So depending on how you classify your tv and whether your remote uses 3 or 4-digit codes, the codes for a Toshiba TV are:

3-digit (old) 049, 071, 072, 089, 105, 109, 117, 118, 160, 162

3-digit (new) 012, 013, 049, 089, 095, 105, 109, 117, 118, 120, 141, 159, 170, 178, 181, 260, 358, 394, 902

4-digit 0159, 0178, 0109, 0120, 0181, 0105, 0049, 0095, 0170, 0260, 0358, 0394, 0924, 0012, 0095, 0117, 0141
