what it is the tvs like this are mento be serviced every 3 years or so the convergence settings are in the back only user ones are in the settings dont try this yourself though i broke mine lol it will cost 120 pounds tops to fix dont worry its worth it if this has helped please give me thumbs up because people are just taking answers and not voting
If the pic seems dull and the colors are all washed out as well as the tint not being able to be ciorrected to correct tones. Its almost always caused by the CRT coolant needing replacement. You can get the phillips CRT coolant kit from www.tvrepairworld.com the kit contains the coolant for all three CRT's and the CD with instructions.
The tuner in RCA is a known issue. I recommend connecting the satellite with RGB (Red-Green-Blue) component cables and red/white sound cables and use video. The picture will be better. The tuner repair can be pricey $$$
This is a common problem on certain models of Philips Magnavox TV sets. The most common symptom is the screen will shrink and expand over and over.
