Camera problem i droped mine today, didnt hit very hard and now it turns on you cant press any buttons and beeps 3 times, then shuts off, it also shows low battery even tho the batteries arent low. i tried pulling the lense out but didnt do any good. the smaller one is pushed in on one side alittle how can i fix this?

Try updating your system the manual way:

recovery menu 'safe mode'.

Press and hold the power button until the systems shuts off. (wait 2 seconds)

Press and hold the power button again until you here 3 beeps. Let go.

It should ask you to connect your controller via usb and press the PS button in

the middle of your controller. There will be a menu with 6 options. Perform 6, "system update."

If this doesn't work, when your system froze and you powered it down, you may have corrupted your Hard Drive (Hard Disk). You will need to replace it.

When you replace your hard drive, you will need to have the latest firmware on a

usb stick. Download the firmware from the playstation official website onto a usb

stick. Once prompted by your system you will need to insert the usb stick into the

PS3. Good luck..

You will need 2.5" Sata Hard Drive.

hey, I had the same problem when I accidentally droped my camera, some parts in the mechanism are probably broken or jammed.

Most likely repairs required.

Mine just started doing the exact same thing all of a sudden today! Have you found a solution for this yet?

Mine did the same thing. Just let it sit for a couple of days. Don't mess with it. It'll eventually stop doing that and work. That's what i did. It worked for mine.

hold the sleep button for about 5-6 seconds and restart it. Try that a few times, and then if that does not work, connect it to the computer and hit the 'restore' button and see if it will restore the light. Try to charge it also, sometimes that will help.

Mine did the exact same thing here is how i fixed it. Access recovery menu.
1. turn off ps3
2. hold the power button down; the system will turn on and turn off once again.
3. once the system has been shut down, re-press your finger until you hear 2 conscutive beeps (2 quick beeps)
4. when you hear the 2 beeps take your finger off the power button
5. you will be prompted to plug in your controller via usb and then hit the ps button
6. the recovery menu will pop up

Now i tried the Restart System and it didnt do anything. I was not sure which one to select, so I then clicked Restore PS3 System. I lost everything, but I got it working again!!

in order to SHUT OFF THE ALARM:

go to the normal time setting, where nothing is flashing. then press and hold reset. then the time you want the alarm on shows up. in order to turn the alarm off press start...press start again to turn it on

I had exactly the same problem. Lens stayed open, when powered on you get three beeps and nothing. I found when I pulled the lens out a little harder it gave a little click. When I powered on it worked perfectly.

well i´m the bad news guy, it could be two things, or u droped the camera and the zoom lens is out of the place and the sensors arent working properly or it´s just the sensors that are no working, the only way is to send to a repair centre normally they just replace all the lens. All the beeps it´s just to say that the lens is lost.... can´t locate it self.
