Your radio must have VHF capability, as weather channels are VHF. Then your radio must be programmable to the weather channel for your desired area. If you repost a question including your Motorola radio name/model, we could be more specific.

Use a audiovox walkie talkie

What is your question about using the walkie talkie? These are standard FRS low power walkie talkies. You need to set both to the same channel. Turn both on. Push the transmit button and speak into the microphone which is on the face of the radio. You should hear the voice in the other walkie talkie.

Note; all of these FRS talkies have substantially less range than advertised. They should provide reliable service within about 1/4 mile line of sight, no more. In an urban environment with lots of buildings you will get less.

Uniden walkie talkie says L every time I push a button

You've set the keylock feature on your walkie talkie. From the Uniden manual...

KEYLOCK

ON/OFF Press and hold the call/lock key until the "L" appears. After 1 second, the LCD will return to the channel display. To exit Keylock on mode, press and hold call/lock again. Note: While in keylock on mode, it will still receive transmissions.

I have the cobra micro talk with rechargeable batteries my workers plug them up every night and get them in the morning but some arestill saying low battery, does the walkie talkie need to be turned off...

they charge better if they are turned off. since they do not have a paid dedicated channel, signals can

still be received by any walkie talkie using the same channel, and can deplete the charging process

to the radio. good luck!

Is there a way I can change the channel on my Walkie Talkie manually. I can't get them both on the same channel.

On the Motorolas you have to press the menu button until your current channel flashes. Then press the plus (+) or minus(-) sign to change the channel. 21 is a great channel and you can get distance on it.

Is Bell South walkie talkie compatiable with other

Some number their channels differently, but all FRS/GMRS radios operate in the same mode and will have at least some frequencies in common. Check the channel/frequency lists for both radios and you'll be able to talk to each other.
