"Base no power" when registering panasonic KX-TGA750 phone to KX-TGA642 Panasonic phone.

Thanks yadayada, but my base does not have an antenna. The handset that came with the base works perfect. I just want to add another handset from a different base to allow me to have two handsets for the one phone base. I have unplugged power to the base and taken out batteries from both handsets with, of course, plugging the base back to power and replacing the batteries in both handsets. I have tried and tried going thru the steps to register one phone handset to another base. I still get the error "Base no power).

The base is the one with the small antenna and it has no power to it, either the base is defective or the wall plug adapter is no good.

How do I install my Panasonic KXTGA401 phone?

The KX-TGA401 is a handset for specific Panasonic cordless telephone systems. Connecting the handset requires registering (pairing) it with the base and if the base can support another handset. First make sure that the base is plugged into an active phone line (land line) and that the power adapter is plugged in and working properly. Charge the handset before attempting the registration process.

Then make sure that the phone system is in standby (no calls). Press and hold the Locator button on the base for about 5 seconds (wait until the tone sounds). If all of the handsets that are already registered ring, press and release the Locator button and then press and hold it again. Once you hear the registration tone (some models), place the new handset in the charger on the base. Wait for the long beep and the registered symbol to appear.

If the not registered symbol appears, try registering by using the handset menu. Press Menu # 1 3 0 (the key below 9 and individual number keys) on the handset. Press and hold the locator button until you hear the registration tone as above. Then press Select and Save on the handset within 90 seconds of hearing the registration tone. Wait for the handset and base to complete the registration process. You'll hear a long beep.

The first registration method is given in the manual for the handset, http://help.panasonic.ca/viewing/ALL/KX-TGA401/OI/TGA401_PNQX2390ZA/TGA401_PNQX2390ZA.pdf. The second is from the page 31 of the manual for the KX-TG653x (KX-TG6531 base) system, ftp://ftp.panasonic.com/telephone/om/kx-tg6511_mul_om.pdf . The KX-TGA401 handset works with other bases as well. You may want to check the manual for your phone system in case there are differences. Other compatible phone systems are the KX-TG401x, KX-TG403x, and KX-TG651x.

I hope this helps.

How to register Panasonic KX-TGA-405 Range Extender with existing Panasonic Base Model KX-TGF570

According to the manual for the KX-TGA405, you need to do the following steps to register the range extender to any compatible base (including the KX-TGF570). First, unplug the range extender's AC adapter. Press and hold the Locator button on the base (KX-TGF570) for 5 seconds or until the registration tone sounds. Within 90 seconds, plug in the KX-TGA405 AC adapter. After the status indicator light on the range extender becomes green, press the Locator button on the base to stop the registration tone. Depending on where you place your range extender, you may need two people with two-way radios to complete these steps in the 90 second time limit.

See page 4 of the KX-TGA405 manual for the Deregistration/Registration steps. Panasonic has the manual here: ftp://ftp.panasonic.com/accessory/phone_fax/om/kx-tga405_en_om.pdf .

I hope this helps.

Can I get replacement phones (3) for Panasonic KX-TG6843B 6.0 3-Handset Cordless Telephone? This phone blocks up to 250 calls. If I keep the base, will I keep my blocked numbers.

The stored block numbers should be saved. The database is in the base's memory. Since the KX-TG6843 base can support a total of 6 KX-TGA680S handsets, you can purchase and register 3 new handsets. If needed, you can de-register the old ones from any working handset and then add even more. See page 35 of the manual, ftp://ftp.panasonic.com/telephone/om/kx-tg6841_mul_om.pdf . Additional handsets are available from Panasonic, http://shop.panasonic.com/support-only/KX-TG6843B.html , Scroll down to the Accessories section and expand it. Amazon.com also has the handsets: https://www.amazon.com/Panasonic-KX-TGA680S-DECT-Accessory-Handset/dp/B00BS4D2CU .

I hope this helps.

How to register a panasonic a kx-tga850e

Look on the base unit, not the charging cradle. The charging cradle merely plugs into a wall outlet for power. The base unit is the device that's hooked up to the phone line.

STEP1:
On the handset you want to discard go to "SETTINGS HS" -> "REGISTRATION" -> "CANCEL BS"
This will discard the registration of the handset to any base.

STEP2:
Using the handset you want to register go to "SETTINGS HS" -> "REGISTRATION" -> "REGISTER HS"and select the base you want (i.e. BASE 1, BASE 2, ..., BASE n).

NOTE:If you do not get access to the BASE you are looking for (STEP 2) then you have to cancel the registration of the new handset to any base. Therefore, follow STEP1 for this handset as well and then follow STEP 2.

After you finish all the above, hold down the "PAGE" button for about 5 secs.

You are now done!!!

Good luck
