Why hot air dont blow out of vent?

There is a blend door in the heater box in the passenger compartment. This door mixes the air from the outside and routes it through the heater core. If it is stuck, then no air comes through the heater core. Check for the levers under the dash by the center console and see if they move.

You may have trapped air or exhaust gas preventing water circulation. This may be a sign that the cylinder head gasket is leaking.

Check the thermostat to see if it is stuck open or missing. Replace it.

low heat at idle is farly normal for camry, i had alot of complaints about th that at a toyota dealership where i worked

the heater vacuum motor and lines needs to be checked.Also get the blend door checked.

I would start by checking the hoses at the heater core. One should be hot the other cooler but still pretty warm. If one is hot and 1 is a lot cooler you probably have a plugged heater core. You can also check to see if you hear the blend door slamming and check air temp change when you switch from full cold to full hot. If there isn't a clunk at full hot or cold the door might be stuck.

First thing to do would be check the thermostat. Sounds like it may be stuck open and needs replaced. If it sticks in the open position the engine never warms up properly an d will give you little or no heat.
