Cambridge Soundworks 765i in good condition. CD loads and disk in readout shows, but persists. CD will not play although intermittently the thing seems to work, but not in months.

CD eject works fine. Radio functions normally, audio is good. It receives input from laptop for audio just fine . . . and this is probably what it is used for most, since the cd will not play.

The lens on the laser diode inside the player may have too much dust built up on it. Lens cleaning CD's can be had at Walmart or many stores that sell Tv's and accessories.

Model 765i. Why doesn't it play CDs anymore?

It's 12 years old. Probably dirty optics. Get a CD cleaning disc from Walmart. They have little brushes to clean the laser lenses. If that doesn't fix it, take it to a local audio engineer.

Cambridge SoundWorks 765i does not turn on. The light on the power supply is on.

You have a power supply issue and that explains the dead silence. You might want to check the PS area for swollen or leaky caps, a common source of trouble.. Or a broken solid state device. Otherwise .................................Shopping?

A CD got stuck in my Cambridge Soundworks 765i. How do I get it out?

There should be a small hole in the front of your CD player. Straighten out a paper clip, and poke it in that hole. That should eject the CD drawer.

We unplugged our cambridge soundworks 765i and when we replugged it in we have only bars showing in the display area

I had a similar problem. I called campbridge soundworks and they told me to unplug the unit overnight-and then when I powered it back on to press the power on key 10 times. IT works then.

CD Player does not load CD

Try resetting the CD (Cambridge soundworks) by unplugging, then repluging. Then hold down the eject button while you turn on the power.
