Cod 4 load the game and it freezes tried my mates cod 4 game same happens but my cod 4 plays on his help

Yes. This happens everytime. Here's a secret/glitch/whatever: when it starts, dont click anything. wait for the game to load up to the main menu. For example in Single player: just leave the keyboard/mouse. wait for all the short clips to play. after you get to the main menu (Spec Ops; Campaign; Multiplayer)Use your arrow keys to choose which. For example: I want spec ops. I just hit the left arrow key once. It might still freeze, but after awhile, it will be highlighted/selected/whatever. hit enter. then wait for it to load. then keep repeating these steps on what level/difficulty. then after you play a game, everything will go back to normal unless you quit again. That's all. Plz rate me.

It's Your internet. Wireless internet gets a lot of interference. It's worse still if you don't have good internet speed. You need average 5 mega bits 8 is recommened though.

It can also be that the person who is host of game and you can't connect well to each other and so this happens. It can also be the game servers as well.(though this is very unlikely) dont worry you are not only one who gets this problem.

well, it must be a problem with your game files, because most loading processes are done by the Installed game files .
if other blu-ray games are running well, i guess you don't need to worry about the lens .

please try:

• Reinstalling all your game data files
• Reupdating your system firmware via USB Device (download the update from Playstation Website)
• Restoring your system (don't forget to backup all your important files !!)

else, contact Sony support centre for possible hardware issues checking (i belive there isn't anything wrong with your ram or gpu units....)

I've got a ps3 and call of duty 4+5, half the fun of the game is playing with a mate and I've had exactly the same problem as you. It just seems to be about trial and error sometimes, have tried connecting like you for over an hour before and then on other days it just connects wth my mate straight away.
Sometimes it helps to join a game(so you can see and hear other players) then invite your mate, if he/she to reply to your invite is quick sometimes you can get in that way.
The only other bit of advice is to try different times of the day as the load on the servers does change throughout the day, apart from that it really is an issue with activision and for me the playstation network

make a new profile on your ps3 and it will work.....my son has hes own profile on my ps3 and the game works fine but when i swap back to me own profile the game freezes...very strange!!!!!!

This is a tough one to diagnose, I'd recommend trying to clean the blu-ray drive with a cd / dvd cleaner cd.

Try this first, since it's easy to do and we'll go from there.

the disk you may have recieved could have been damadged upon store arrive but store didnt catch it try to take back to store the games have either 60-90day warrenty

Try researching it, that's what i did when it happened with CoD:4 (online) it may be overheating, you're obviously not having red lights, try unplugging it COMPLETELY and putting it near an open window

Is this COD??
If so back up your gamesaves from COD to a meme stick.
Then put COD in and see what happens.
If it works then the game save was corrupt.
And yes you will have to start again.
