I have an ALBA MODEL LCD19ADVD tV DVD. It has stopped working just recently. I tried a DVD in it and when I took it out all I get is a screen saying 'no signal'.
I have tried to re-set the TV through the MENU, and reinstall the channels, but it keeps saying not signal.
Can you help me please?

The player has failed, it is not a product that is really repaired due to the low cost of a new one, I would just buy a stand alone player and right this off.
how is youre cable connected to the 1-tv 2-cd/dvd player 3-amplifier, coming from satelitte..If you watch a dvd, somtimes you half to push the tv.video button on the dvd remote control just once to allow the tv cable signal to pass to the tv. each time you watch a dvd it blocks the tv signal. this is normally true unless you have a special wiring configuration
Sometimes a dvd can be ejected manually but mostly the unit must be partially dismantled but if you try to do that you will invalidate the warranty - at only 5 months old it will be the responsibility of the supplier/retailer to cure the problem. I suggest you re-read the instructions and then contact the supplier without delay.
Then you should contact the dvd rental company and tell them what is happening.
hi had the same problem with alba 42" (l42m1) spoke to customer services at argos who suggested holding down menu button for 10 seconds then pressing menu again, which aparantly resets remote with tv. Has worked for me, hope it works for you.
