Patterson elec golf cart . fully charged with new batteries After 8 holes power indicator flashes but cart still has power to complete 18 holes. Why does it flash

  • Anonymous Mar 08, 2017

I have exactly the same problem with my Patterson eventer 4. I have tried a new power indicater with the same result.Apparantly this happens when you change batteries. I have both indicators tested and they are fine. I was advised to try changing batteries again but mine are both new, are of the same type and charge well, yet a tested new recorder still flashes red after6 /8 holes.

Did you use the correct amp hour high quality batteries or just the cheapest, this is a battery voltage issue having to do with amp hour rating of the new batteries.

That usually indicates battery is beginning to go bad. Eventually it will not hold a charge and will need to be replaced.

sounds like your charging circuit isn't working or the adapter isn't putting out enough power or amprage to fully charge the battery, or you battery went bad. if the charging circuit is bad then so is *********** board, time to burry the system and buy a new one

SOURCE: compaq presario v4000 laptop won't power up

I had a Hp or compaq tablet *with swivel screen. I have a hard time myself trying to get it to beam up. what a pesky switch. But I do know what happened to it before it started acting bad.... the spot where I plug in the power cord got extremely loose.. and i had to hold it just so with one leg of mine in the air one under me.. :D joke but you get the point. Just to try to get it to charge up. I didnt know if it was just the plug... I found out later with the help of a charging dock. That it was in fact the chargeing hole... After about 5 hrs playing with the cord in the charge dock to get it just right. It charged up for a measly hr or so. But since then when I use the charge dock the laptop will boot up...

SOURCE: Gateway M-6862 laptop will not turn on; battery light flashing re

Seems to be a problem of not enough power.

First check the voltage output of the charger(adapter) and match it with its specs.

Also try to reset the hardware using the following steps:

1 Disconnect battery and the charger
2 Let it sit for 1-2 minutes.
3 Press and hold down the power button for 30 seconds.
4 Reconnect battery and charger and try to start by pressing the power button.

Try this link, refers to the n600c more than the 610, but that is the exact same battery so it is the right info:

I have a Patterson Eventer golf buggy, it goes about 12 inches and stops abruptly in forward or reverse. What's wrong?

Solenoid. (electro-magnetically operated switch)

What are the symptoms of a bad solenoid in a golf cart? On an electric golf cart, the most common symptom is the solenoid is not delivering electricity to the controller when the vehicle's ignition is turned on. In normal operating conditions, the solenoid clicks on and off with the ignition switch. A failing solenoid will generally not click.

If it clicks, it is more likely to be the accelerator potentiometer, basically the variable gas pedal. Great resource in the link for Golf Cart woes.

I have a 2010 yamaha golf cart, has brand new batteries, and the batteries drain by nine holes,is it the voltage regulator? or something else

Make sure the batteries are fully charged. if your cart has it's own charger it may not fully charge. I would purchase a portable one and make sure they fully charge then you would know whether the cart charger is working.

MY Yamaha golf cart is fully charged, I play 18 holes and the charger meter drops to about 50% and then the green light turns to yellow, Whats up with that??? Dave

Does the cart move? If you still have good battery power then I would the battery meter. Otherwise you might have a low or bad battery. Need to check each battery under load.

Patterson Trio Golf Buggy - Going dead while in use - batteries showing good charge then dies and show nothing Charged Batteries and on next out went dead after 8 Holes on the golf course

Have the batteries individually load tested. All it takes is one weak or bad one to kill the others. A s volt meter won't do. They need to be load tested.

This scooter has not been used for 18 months,it has 2 gel batteries and showed a full charge after o'night charge(greeen light) showing. How many kilometres should i get from it ?.it is a victory...

hi.

with good batteries, and under ideal conditions (flat smooth surface) this scooter should be good for up to 30 km.
this is highly dependant on the surface, slopes, rider weight, and battery condition, but with good batteries you should easily be able to do a round of golf.

the biggest problem you may have will be the batteries themselves.
after 18 months without use, the batteries may have suffered from a sulphur build up on the lead plates in the battery. this can mean that the batteries will show fully charged, but will not put out the full power. the best way to test this is to take the batteries down to your local car garage and ask them to do a "load test" sometimes called a "drop test" on the batteries. they will usually do this free of charge and it only takes a few minutes. a 100amp load test for 8 seconds should tell you the condition of the batteries.
if the batteries test ok, then you should not have any problems using the scooter for a round of golf.

hope this helps
