Unable To Eject DVD From DVD-ROM Drive With The Eject The DVD-ROM drive will not open to release the DVD when the button is pushed on the drive. RESOLUTION:
Shut down the program that you are installing or running that uses the DVD-ROM drive.
Wait 10 to 15 seconds, and then open the DVD-ROM drive by pushing the eject button on the DVD-ROM drive.
If the DVD-ROM drive door still does not open, do the following:
Insert a paper clip or small pointed object into the small hole near the button on the DVD-ROM door.
Gently push in the paper clip until the DVD-ROM door opens.
Remove the CD from the drive.
To prevent the DVD-ROM drive from exhibiting this behavior again, follow these steps:
From the Start menu, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
In Control Panel, double-click the System icon.
In the System Properties dialog box, click the Device Manager tab.
On the Device Manager tab, double-click the CD-ROM category.
Double-click Toshiba DVD-ROM.
In the Toshiba DVD-ROM Properties dialog box, click the Settings tab.
On the Settings tab, clear the Auto insertion notification check box, and then click OK.
