I need my safelink phone activated but unsure what the activation is? Is it the serial #?? I've had it for a few months and can't use it,.

STEP 1 Open the box that your new SafeLink Wireless phone came in and remove the contents.

STEP 2 Unravel the power cord and insert it into your new cell phone, then plug it in. Wait for the phone to charge fully before activating it. This will take approximately one to two hours.

STEP 3 Locate the activation card that came inside your SafeLink box. Follow the instructions on the card to activate your phone line. If no activation card is present in your SafeLink box, your phone is already activated.

STEP 4 Power on your cell phone and make a test call to confirm that it is properly activated. If the call goes through, your line is now active and ready to use.

You can upgrade your Safelink phone by purchasing a new/different model, call Safelink but tell them you bought the same original phone you started with and half the time theyll do it. Do not tell them that you upgraded and if a foregin CSR answeres the phone ie,Indian hang up and call again in 2 hour intervals until you get an American SCR.I have never failed to upgrade my Safelink devices. You,ve got to leave it on and call the number that is on the green card to activate it and set up your voicemail. If the card did not come with the phone than you've got to call them directly and give/get your info.
