I have a 2050P fax and it has not been receiving faxes for a week. Is could it just be programmed incorrectly?

Some Brother fax machines are programmed incorrectly so they do not acknowledge receiving the last page of a document. The sender doesn't know you got it, and will resend.
It's harsh advice, but the only solution is to buy a different brand.

The m/c has a small grey pad in the document feeder that needs to be replaced!It is a small and cheap spare and i am sure your local dealer will be able to assist!Good luck!

Yes. Here is a link to your Canon Laser Class 2050P fax machine's User Guide. Reference pages 5-1 through 5-28 for Speed Dialing, One-Tuoch Dialing, and Group Dialing. Speed Dialing must be set up before Group Dialing can be assigned. Group Dialing will accomplish the multiple recipients sending.

Is it possible that you have an LC 2050P instead of an LC 2050?? HH7-2424-000 contact sensor belongs to both 2050 / 2060 LC fax machines, however, HH7-2520-000 belongs to an LC 2050P fax machine. Perhaps that is the difference, or am I missing an update? Let me know which model you have please.

that is a heater error. the fuser asm. that melts your toner on to your paper. it is not coming up to temp. in time.
sorry to say the only way is to replase it. if you go on the internet googal canon 2050p fuser you can order one

there are a couple of things did you buy genuine or reman cartridges and check if they are seated properly.
some remans dont work properly so you have to be sure and always get a money back guarantee from the seller

could you give better model number? is this a imageclass?

Two things: Can you make a copy without this happening? And, Does this happen with certain specific fax number or randomly?
