My car runs at normal temp even when its extremely

My car is a 2000 Ford Crown Vic P71 with 240k miles on it. I always service my vehicle when due. My car runs at normal temp even when its extremely hot outside and in stop and go traffic, unless i turn on the a/c, then it gets hot, i hear the fan kick on, and i have noticed that when its on max a/c it doesnt seem to start getting warm as fast if at all. but normal a/c even out on the freeway it gets hot. it has never overheated to the point of shutting down or blowing antifreeze, i always shut the a/c off before it gets to that point. It has a 140 thermostat in it, would a 180 work better in the Phoenix heat? If not, what should I do?

What would make a 2000 crown vic loose it's haul tail power it used to have? It's not stalling, not leaking anything, no codes, no lights on dash.

The fuel pressure might be low, that is normally caused by a defective fuel pump. Since you changed the pump does it have the pressure bar reading as the old one. If it's the same reading probably you might have been supplied with a defective product.
Remove the return pipe and crank the vehicle, if nothing comes out from the return pipe then your fuel pump is definitely a problem

I have a 2000 Crown Vic and occasionally there is white smoke coming from drivers side(closest to me) just minutes into driving. Its only noticeable while at a light or when parked and I have just cut

after driving the car to normal temp...go drive around and when you do see smoke like that, pull over into parking lot (leave the car running) and look underneath the car and hood...see where the smoke coming from. Then you would know the answer.

Location of coolant temp sensor 2000 crown vic

If the sensor was the problem you would have a check engine light on, the fan is operated by the powertrain control module which controls a relay module. You must have the dealer run a scan of the system ans do an active test on the fan operation to determine what is wrong.

My transmission in my 2000 ford crown vic hesitates when I take off from a stop. does anyone have a similar problem and know the solution?

If it is a trans issue ,it is due for a rebuild,
if it has been in the car since 2000

If you have over 120,000 miles

Never changed fluid every 3 years or not
more than every 30,000 miles, then it
has gone as far as you can expect

How big is the gas tank on a 1992 ford crown vic. how many miles to the gallon. my gas gauge doesnt work. so i dont know anything about the gas.

1992 Ford Crown Vic 4.6 L V8 Automatic

Fuel tank capacity is 20 gallons (US).

Your fuel consumption will be affected by many factors, such as :
- how you drive the vehicle
- the condition and tune of the motor
- driving conditions (traffic, city use, highway use etc)
- tire pressures
- type and grade of fuel used .

It is impossible for me to estimate what fuel consumption you can expect from your own particular car without a whole lot of information.

It's unwise to run the vehicle for long with no working fuel gauge.

Ford Crown Vic p0300 random cylinder misfire

take a look at the EGR valve it could be either vacum controlled or electronic either way what seems to be the problem is that the valve is stuck in the open position until the engine warms up you can gently tap the egr valve with a small hammer or a screw driver and you can see that it runs smooth, now if the egr valve is vacum controlled replace the valve. if it is electronoc controlled replace the valve and the module for the egr valve.
