I am a retired hairdresser and it sounds like one of three things or a combination. Your blades may be worn (dull) and need replacement , it may need to be oiled, the blades could be "misaligned" and need to be adjusted. You do that by removing the two screws holding the blades on, remove the blades, while you have them off, clean out any built up clippings in there and then put the blades back on. BEFORE you tighten down the screws make sure the "teeth" from the blades are lined up so the bottom blade teeth can be seen BETWEEN each top blade tooth. NOT directly on top of each other. Now tighten the screws. urn the clipper on and add a drop of clipper oil (no substitutes) onto the running blades. That should do the trick.

Brand new andis trimmer pulling hair and not cutting good

The questions about Andis T-Outliner or Andis Styliner II, about not cutting or pulling hair.
On the Andis T-Outliner trimmer if the sharpness of the blade is worn out, all the tricks and treats won't make this blade to cut hair. Before I do any kind of work to the trimmer, I first test the coil for the right amount power, I can get out of the coil, without this power, it doesn't matter how new or old the trimmer is, the trimmer will not cut hair at all. If the coil is good, I will sharpen the blade and set it according to your needs (lineups or shave setting) after the blade is sharpened and set. The trimmer will need to be, adjusted for alignment to the blade, adjust the power of the coil, and adjust the tension for the blade. All these factors are involved in the Andis T-Outliner to cut hair clean especially lineups or shaving. These adjustments work together for the trimmer to work properly. I know that we all trying to save money, which is part of life, but sometimes frustration will take over and say hell with it, I'll buy another or forget it. Manufactures make mistakes, sometimes the trimmer was not sharpened or adjusted correctly. Any case, what I'm trying to say here, if you try all the tricks & treats and can get your trimmer to work, it may be easier for you to send it to a professional to sharpen & repair the problem and set the blade according to your needs (lineups or shave setting) We specialize on Andis T-Outliner Trimmers. My andis t-outliner keeps pulling hair when cutting and it barley cuts the hair. Do the blades need adjusting?

sound like your clipper blades may require sharpening, just remove the blades and send them to a professional company specialising in scissor and clipper sharpening.
