All of the other cycles work fine, exept the spin cycle. When the same thing happened over a year ago the machine was still under warrant, and the repair man came out and reset it. I forget how he did this?

Possible there is problem with the timer controller unit. It seems that the stepper motor is not moving to the next cycle until you manually move it to the spin. You can use some contact cleaners on the switch and also carefully try to see if the timer moves within , replacement is a costly issue and must be debated
Hello, It can be one of two things, the contacts in the dial can have worn or broke causing the relay not to open or close to activate spin cycle.
Most likely it is your transmission or main gear for your spin cycle.
I hope its the dial which is an easy fix, but the trans is a big project IF the washer is worth it. You may consider looking for new/used washer if trans is bad. Good Luck.
I can a very simple part called the motor coupler...you can find the part at www.repairclinic.com. It costs 13.95. I am fixing my washing machine today, as this happened before and was the answer. Goodluck
you can check two things,. One is, is the belt broken or stretched, the other is the motor, is the motor turning if the motor is turning then replace the belt. If the motor is not turning replace the motor.
Possibly the timer. next time it wont stop filling turn off the washer. if it still fills you have a water valve issue. Hope for the valve. Timers are big bucks.
GE WPXH214ACC Washer drum makes loud noise when spinning sometimes. We've had it since 2005 & never had this happen before. Washer is level, must stop & redistribute clothes to correct. Just started happening now.
