The whole USA (years ago now) converted to digital TV signal format from analog (which is what your TV uses), this means that the TV will not pick up any channels without a digital to analog converter box, you can buy them very cheap on eBay.

SOURCE: My TV says

I just looked at a TV last night for this. I don't know what you've tried yet, but I was getting that message until I went into the menu and selected the automatic channel scan. I forget what it was actually called, but you'll find it. After that, 19 digital stations came in beautifully with a cheap set of rabbit ears. (The scan will also find analog channels, which you can delete later on.) Good Luck.

SOURCE: GE Model 20GT360 TV and digital antenna problem

I suspect you may not have a big enough antenna to get the stations, it is not placed (or rotated correctly) or you have a signal loss issue (splitting the signal to multiple TVs). If you go to antennaweb.org, you can plug in your address and get the channels you are able to get most readily and the type of antenna you need. http://www.tvfool.com is a similar site but gives more information on the signal strength and recommendations.

In general outdoor antennas, when rotated correctly, will give you the best signal and most channel selection. If you have multiple TVs attached to one antenna, get an amplifier/splitter to improve the signal.

Most converters will not change stations if they found only one channel.

I hope this helps.

(My household has an outdoor antenna, a rotor, and a signal splitter and amplifier to get stations that antennaweb.org says that are not available to us. When I set up TVs for a neighbor, using their indoor antennas, I got one channel (each with sub-channels) on each TV. However due to direction issues, each TV got different channels. One got the stations to the south; the other got the channels to the southeast. The transmitters are less than 10 degrees apart and less than 50 miles away.)

The model # is: L42FHD37. I need to know how to set up an amplified indoor HDTV antenna. RCA multi directional serial # ANT1450BFW.

Attach the antenna to the antenna/TV input on the back of the TV. If you have a flat twin lead wire on your antenna, you'll need a co-ax converter. (Best buy, etc.) Power on the TV (and the amplified antenna) and use the Input button on the remote to select the TV input. Next use the menu button to select channels and then engage the auto-search option to memorize all of the available channels in your area.

Had my channelmaster 4046 HD hooked up to a vizio tv and got all major channels. Now have hooked up my antenna to an RCA tv and can't get NBC and local FOX station is jumpy

The tuner in the RCA has poor sensitivity. Radio Shack sells a inline amplifier that may help, make sure you can return it if it doesn't. Move the antenna outside if possible and as high as possible, that may help. Good Luck!

How to get rca indoor antenna to pick up free digital channels on my Samsung television

Indoor antennas are not very good if you live far away from the TV transmitter. Antenna aim has to be more precise than before with analog TV's. If you can put up an outside antenna you'll probably get them all.

Does the RCA model #F19207BC connect to a dvd/vcr player?

Nope. No external jacks for video and audio. You can use the antenna connection with the dvd /vcr player by connecting the antenna out on the player with a suitable length of coaxial cable with F connectors on both ends. Then you would locate the channel 3/4 switch on the player and choose either one. On the TV you would put the same channel on the TV tuner that matches the player channel and you will see the picture.

I am having issues with my RCA L46wd22yx5. First cable is on channel 3. that channel keeps saying unusable signal. Video 1 is the DVD player. Same thing..Video 2 is the Xbox 360 same thing and the HDMI1 is...

Check to make sure that the individual cables are connected to the corresponding channel. For example, DVD player is connected to the "Video 1" output on TV. On the back of your DVD, the cable is plugged in the "out" output, going to your TV the cable is plugged in the "in" output(red, white, yellow) Are you using an RCA cable(red, white, yellow) for the units?
