Mitel 5212 no dial tone and goes straight to voicemail

Doesn't happen all the time, just sometimes.
no dial tone when handset picked up but can make outgoing calls and have to press the x cancel key to end the call.
also always goes straight to voicemail with incoming calls and doesn't ring. call forwarding is turned OFF and so is the 'always' setting.
Any solutions would be gratefully received!!

Not too sure about the no dial tone issue, but you can check to see if the DND is turned on...
Press the Blue Superkey and scroll thru till you see DND (Do Not Disturb) is on and shut it off.

How do I access my voice mail from home. I have a Mitel 5212 on my desk.

Your company might have a Voicemail "back door" number or an Auto Attendant number. Dial this number, press *, followed by your mailbox number and your passcode.

How do I set up my voicemail on a Mitel 5212 IP phone?

Dial the Voicemail access number, you should be prompted with a passcode. If you've never set it up before the passcode should be 1111. If this helps, follow the prompts.

How to access my voicemailbox from a different extension at the office?. Also, is it possible to access it from home? (Mitel 5212)

Assuming you are using the Embedded Voicemail... Dial the Voicemail access code (same number you dial from your phone). When prompted to enter the other phone's password, dial *. You will be prompted to enter your mailbox number, followed by your passcode.

How do I set up voicemail on a mitel 5212 IP Phone

Assuming you have the Embedded Voicemail... dial the Voicemail access number... it should recognize your extension number and prompt for a passcode - the default is 1111. Follow the prompts to set it up.

If the mailbox is already set up from a previous user, have your administrator reset it.

I can't pick up a phone call

Call Pickup doesn't ring your phone or light up. Your 5212 phone isn't considered a "display phone" Meaning that the display doesn't have softkeys. These are the 3 keys directly below the display and their function changes as you are using the phone.

Your phone's Pickup Key should be used if you want to pick up a call that is ringing on a nearby telephone... usually only the phones within earshot of your phone.

You must pick up the handset, then either press the call pickup key or dial the call pickup feature code.... this code can be different for every system as it's custom from the install vendor.

I hope this helps.

Changes needed for a new user...

Pick up the handset, and dial '0', to connect to the Telephone Services & Information Technology department where you work. Ask them for instructions.

Or, dial "0", and ask to be connected to Human Resources department where you were just hired, and ask them how to submit your resignation, since they obviously don't care enough for their newly-hired employees to give them any "welcome to our company" familiarization training.

Trying to program a touch for incoming calls that will go through my voice mail directly

This can be handled by the DND feature in your admin settings... Do not disturb will transfer your calls direct to voicemail without ringing the handset.

Cant use your downloaded decision/instruction tree

You just have to dial the voicemail group number, & when the voicemail answers press "*" it should then prompt you to enter your mailbox number then ask you for your password.
