It's look like your video driver is bad. If your unit still under warranty, try to send it for repair.

Blue screen

Which operating system you are using??

You can follow the given steps to avoid blue screen error..
Start Windows in Safe Mode:

Step1: Turn on your computer and press the F8 key repeatedly from your keyboard. You must press F8 before the Windows logo appears. It will display the Advanced Boot Options screen.

Step2: From Advanced Boot Options screen, choose Safe Mode option then press Enter.

Step3: If Windows loads and works fine in Safe Mode, a bad driver is probably causing the error. Uninstall device drivers and reinstall them. If Windows experiences issues in Safe Mode also, repair your hardware.

Step2: From Advanced Boot Options screen, select "Repair Your Computer" and hit Enter. Choose your preferred keyboard layout and then click "Next."

Computer turns on and after its done showing loading bar a blue screen appears . the computer then restarts with a black screen showing start windows normal, or startup repair. i chose startup repair

Try running the Check Disk Utiltiy.
To run the check disk utility you will need a repair disc ora operating system disc. Put the disc in the cd drive and boot fromit. You want to get to the Dos Command Prompt (Black screen with whiteletters) and type the following command: chkdsk /r
Check disk will run well over an hour or two and you will notice thepercentages going from high to low, this is normal. Let it run tocompletion. Then reboot machine.

If check disk fails to solve your problem you might have to reinstall windows.Try doing a Repair Install that way you don't loose your data, documents, music, pictures, videos or programs.

In windows xp you get to the dos command prompt by selecting R for repair whenthe options appear.

In Vista and Windows 7 you want to get to the recoveryconsole and look down at the bottom of the window for the Dos Command.

If all fails Sounds like your operating system needs to be reinstalled or you can do a system recovery to set it back to when you first bought it.

Screen says windows didn't start properly...help! :(

Acctualy you hadn't specified, that the computer is working and then you find this messege every time, or that the computer is not working and this messege appears every time, First if the computer is working properly and you recieve this messege every time, so you must check if you were closing the computer properly (closing all windows before shutdown), Second if this didn't work and the screen still appears, thats means there is corrupted system files due to many factors (from it Infection with a virus), and you must reinstall your windows.

HP Pavillion dv9000 screen disply problem

Try starting up in Safe mode by pressing F8 as soon as you see the HP logo on the screen at startup, then choose safe mode.

If there are colors within safe mode, try going to Start-->Right click on My Computer and go to Manage.

From there go to device manager on the left side and on the right side click the plus next to Display adapters

Under there right click and uninstall all display adapters, then reboot

Windows should reinstall all drivers for the display and hopefully will correct the issue

Red stripes on my monitor

This looks like a driver issue. Could be incompatible with a software you have installed or bad install.

Use a generic VGA to unintsall and reinstall driver for new card. Turn off computer and then install the new VGA. This should work.

Gateway computer reboots automatically

To get into Safe Mode, just as the PC starts press the F8 key on the keyboard every 2 seconds. Windows will open a Dos like screen where you can pick how you want to start windows. Safe Mode is listed there. If this does not help you find your problem I can tell you that windows is confused (startup files). Two ways to fix this. One is to run system restore. 50/50 chance that will work. Two put your Windows CD in the cdrom & boot to it. Allow windows to repair it's self. You will not loose your data that way.
