You can download Digital Voice Editor Version 3.1.03 for Windows Vista/XP/2000.

64 bit version operating systems are not supported, though.

I have a sony DCR-TRV-103 video recorder. i want to take my old HI8 tapes, and transfer the videos from my DCR to my computer which has USB ports only. what cable would recommend?

You won't be able to do it with just a USB cable You will need an analog-to-digital video converter which will take the analog video signal from the Camcorder, and translate it to a digital signal for the computer via the USB interface.

Startech, Dazzle and Roxio are three brands

Your iLink port is a Firewire interface, so if you have an older Macintosh computer with firewire, you may be able to go from the camera directly to the Mac with the appropriate 4 pin to 6 pin or 4 pin to 9 pin Firewire cable

Video transfer

If you're using a Windows Vista Operating System it'snot possible to transfer the videos from the Camcorder to the Computer using the USB connection. The videos from the tape camcorders cannot be transferred to Windows Vista Operating System as there is no USB Streaming ooption available on the Windows Vista Operating System. The Camcorder uses the USB Streaming function to transfer the videos to the Computer. You may wish to purchase a i.LINK/Firewire cable to connect the Camcorder to the Computer in order to transfer the videos from the Camcorder to the Computer.
or
There is an update for driver on the Sony website to transfer the videos from the Camcorder to the Computer using the USB cable.
http://support.sony-europe.com/dime/downloads/downloads.aspx?site=odw_en_GB&m=DCR-HC42E&f=usbdrven_vista

You may also try installing the driver update for the Camcorder. The i.LINK cable gives a better video transfer qulaity than the USB transfer. The i.LINK cable used to connect the Camcorder to the computer depends on the number of pins available on the i.LINK/FIREWIRE port on the Computer. The i.LINK port on the Computer is a D shaped port which is labelled as i, DV, IEEE1394 and Firewire.

Download Sony ICD-B25 digital recorder to computer

I have found conflicting information on this recorder. According to product specs on Amazon.comUK This recorder has no computer connection.

If this product description is wrong you should see a USB connection somewhere on the recorder. Just connect the USB cable from recorder to your computer. If you did not receive a USB cable with your recorder you will have to buy one. You will have to determine if you need a mini or regular USB cable. Then double click on my computer. You should see the device listed there. Double click on the Sony device icon. The files on your recorder should now be showing. You should then be able to drag the files to a folder of your choosing on your computer.

Can I transfer to my computer?

This IC Recorder doesn't feature the USB port. However, you can transfer the files by connecting the Headphone OUT of the IC Recorder to the LINE IN of the Computer. Then, use any Sound Recording Software. You can also use the Sound Recorder Software that is pre installed in the Windows Operating System.

Sony IC Recorder ICD B600

To transfer recordings from the Sony ICD-B600 to Windows first buy a Radio Shack #42-2497 cable. Connect the cable from the recorder headphone jack to the computer microphone jack. In Windows XP follow the path: start, All Programs, Accessories, Entertainment, Sound Recorder. This small window will allow you to record 60 seconds of sound to a file. Get Article #82215 from the Microsoft web site. It will tell you how to make extended recordings. I was able to record 45 minutes continuously. The recorder is turned on by moving the 'HOLD' switch down. The recorder is turned off by moving the 'HOLD' switch up and waiting 2.5 seconds. Have fun.
