Question about Danby Refrigerators

My 1 year old Danby DBC514BLS tray in back is overflowing on the floor/hardwood. What could be wrong?

Its probably the defrost tray. Most fridges / freezers allow the defrosted water to run into a pan at the back of the unit where it evaporates away. If there is too much water, the tray cant handle it and it overflows.

Remove mold on hardwood floor

Spray the oak floor with a 50% solution of white vinegar solution mixed with water and let stand for an hour, then clean with hot soapy water. Alternatively clean the floor with a steam mop, as either method will kill the mould on your floor.

MBF2256keb Water is pooling in the bottom of the freezer and eventually overflows onto my hardwood floor! What is wrong with it?

The drain in the freezer behind back lower panel
needs opening. You can see it at the bottom of the back panel
underneath the evaporator coils. (The cold coils)
Run Hot water in the drain until it clears or use a hairdryer.
When the defrost melts the water it goes down the drain
If the drain is clogged with Ice or ? The defrost water
overflows into the ref. or freezer or on floor
Run Hot water in the drain until it clears or use a hairdryer.
Also check fan undernearh Ref in the rear
Clean condenser coils underneath

Many times a freezer and/or refrigeratordo not work right because of a dirty condenser coil...there are also many otherthings that can go wrong. If you are hearing a clicking or buzzing then check out thelast two tips.

Drip tray is overflowing water onto floor.

Hi Mickey, You have a bad water valve. Turn the water off to your unit and turn off the ice maker. Replace your inlet valve.

Check the relay on the compressor. But in order to due this right you are really going to need to have a company replace yor condensing coils and your drain pan. Check also the thermostats. Located under the dials to adjust your temperature settings. You can get some of the parts at repairclinic.com

I would recommend using another cleaning method developed for use on hardwoods. It seems to me like even if you replace the wheels, eventually they will wear down again, causing more damage to your floors. Check home depot, ask them what the recommend. Hope I could help.
