I have a 1999 Jetta and the #14 fuse keeps blowing. Took it to a shop for repair yesterday. They by-passed the comfort control module and said this would keep it from blowing the fuse. Fuse blew as soon as we got to our next stop and has continued to blow every time we cut the car off. The shop has no other answer. What should I do next?

1999 ford super duty relay coil keeps blowing fuse. truck wont start. why?

Some of those trucks had a heater coil in the fuel filter bowl. It would short out and blow the fuse . Try unplugging the wire just behind the bowl ,and replace the fuse again. that may fix the problem.

99 vw jettal 2.0 gas fuse 29 15amp fuse keeps blowing-no spark unpluged coil and fuse keeps blowing. help please

Thats the fuse for the ECU, engine control module, and is a 15amp for gas 2.0. i would locate the ECU which is under the center of the plenum in the engine compartment and disconnect the long plug. Check for green discoloration on the multipin connector. Sometimes moisture will get in there and short some of the pins together. Leave ECU unplugged and replace the fuse. If it still blows cause is between the fuse and the ECU.

99 1/2 jetta

Yes - relay 109 is your main power fuse and they're famous for going bad. Read this thread - it's from a TDI website - but it's exactly the same. The TDI guys really know their stuff.
