Where can I purchase a new belt for my Elu TGS 172 flip saw?

check with manufacturer but the 172 doesnt have one

Old ELU TGS171 /tgs 172 tgs 173 until A3 type If the 171 or 172 a relais in the switch on the right side or a 60 mf Capacitor is damaged or only a broken powercable , if 173 in the switch on the front a little round bridge rectifier inside the switch can be defect or a powercable or motor cable can be broken .look also on the little metal actuating pin also on the switch that the whole unit is tight so by abbreviate the trigger switch will work . if not the must primary a broken cable or a loose slight contact .

Hi mate this is in the wrong category but i have an elu flip saw and to remove the guard you take your blade off and guide bush and remove the circlip and the guard pops off but u need to make notes on where the guard return spring fits through a hole on guard so as to replace, and remove the bolt with the screw driver slot in and washer / spacer to detatch the folding arm inside the guard, i will check mine and jog my memory then get back to u,does yours have a duel size bush for different blade diameters / centres. spring pliers are the tool needed , just make sure the saw is in the returned position.

There is a bridge rectifier its a little black round piece in the box of the red green switch that must be replaced i see you have got a gray or bleu ELU not a dw 743 i know this problem that is what i know buy a new rectifier or place 4 diodes 1n4007 in a bridge if you know how to do this to make AC to DC its only for the magnet switch and connect the 4 wires to it .

replace capasitor

there is a cable that runs from in behind the drive belt and around and under to the main switch block . because of the flipping action it can open circuit . youllhave to check it with multi meter . good luck old but good machine.
