If it's a laptop keyboard:
Check if the caps lock or number lock lights work. If so, shut the laptop down or if necessary remove power cable and battery. Wait a moment then reconnect and turn on again. Try pressing esc, del f1, f2 f10 and f12 immediately, to see if you get any messages or new screens come up. If you do the keyboard itself is working. Turn off and back on again. If all is working great, if it only doesn't work at windows/OS X then the problem is software.
If it's a PC then try unplugging the keyboard and plugging it into a different USB port. Wait a couple of minutes to see if the number caps and scroll lock lights flash. If they do, it should work. If not try a different keyboard, or try that one in a different PC.

Try cleaning the keys on the keyboard. Blow them out with a can of air, or vaccum.

OPEN the keyboard and control all the keys no one is hanging on dirth so not spring back-enough because the matrixprint sheet if one interpreter key is be hanging on dirth all others will not function !
Change USB ports
Battery if wireless if corded do what they said about repluging it in make sure there's a setting in your BIOS activated that supports plug and play default drivers it should still work if it worked before
worse case go into safemode try to check driver settings check its recognised uninstall and reinstall drivers use the CD that came with it and reinstall drivers
If you can't find the CD then get a secondary computer find your keyboard serial model number (it's normally on the back of the keyboard) then copy and paste Google look for drivers
Find drivers from manufacturer website get on USB or something doesn't matter -- copy drivers over to computer install if not battery related
If you have a cordless keyboard sometimes the drivers won't load properly try plugging in a corded keyboard into a USB port this should work as it has a plug and play built into the boot programme
If you have a cordless keyboard, the batteries may need to be replaced.
Brand make model of keyboard is not stated, I can no help you further. AmanStino Lightning Cable Apple MFi Certified 1M Nylon Braided Charging...
Try unplugging the keyboard and re-plugging it back into the USB Port.
