Remove all batteries, both outdoor and indoor. Install batteries in outdoor unit and wait for it to begin sending a temperature signal. Install batteries in indoor unit. You should see outdoor temperature displayed. If not, batteries, transmitter, or indoor unit may be defective.

New la crosse technology wind speed weather station model # CA87092 set up.wind speed and outdoor temperature showed until this morning.new batteries used yesterday in setup. what is the problem?

The instructions for your station call for a specific set up procedure. Batteries should be installed in the transmitter first with time allowed for it to initialize and begin sending data. After installing batteries in the receiver, you should see wind speed and temperature displayed. BUT, here in the real world I have a Lacrosse receiver currently displaying a balmy 67 degrees inside and a not-so-balmy - - outside. I believe the alkaline batteries used in the transmitter lose efficiency or freeze at low temperatures. Warmer weather restores the outside temperature display.

Changed batteries, now weatherstation does not receive outdoor imformation

La Crosse is very specific about what you should do and how you should do it for a battery replacement.
Begin by removing all batteries, both outdoor and indoor. Install new batteries in the outdoor unit. Allow the time it takes to get from the outside to the inside for the outside unit to initialize and begin sending data. Install batteries in the indoor unit and observe outdoor temperature. You should see indoor temperature as well. Finally, set the time. This last can be tricky as it seems difficult to set an exact time. I have two different La Crosse receivers connected to one transmitter and the one in front of me now is indicating 70 deg F indoors and 80 deg F outdoors.

Why can't I receive input from the outside sending unit?

Make sure that all the batteries are good!!
This procedure outlines the typical process to pair the sensor and base.
Base Station Battery Installation

·Remove the printed vinyl label from the LCD screen of the base station
·Position the remote sensor near the base station
·Open the battery compartment at the back of the base station and insert (2) AA batteries according to the polarity markings. Replace the battery compartment cover.
·Within a short time the RF signal icon (located to the left of the outdoor temperature channel indicator) will start flashing. This indicates that the base station is ready to pick up the RF outdoor temperature signal from the remote sensor. It will continue to flash for 3 minutes or until the signal from the remote sensor is detected.

Register the Remote Sensor
·Open the battery compartment at the back of the remote sensor and slide the channel selector switch to your desired channel. For the first remote you may select any channel, for additional remotes select any unused channel
·Insert (2) AAA batteries according to the polarity markings. Be sure to install the batteries in the remote within the time that the RF signal icon is flashing on the base station. 1541 WeatherGuide Wireless Weather Forecaster with Barometer

Modelws 7013u how to replace and reset batteries

In systems with an outdoor transmitter and an indoor receiver, the usual battery replacement procedure is to start with the outdoor transmitter first, allow time for it to start sending data, then install the replacement batteries in the indoor unit. You should see the outdoor temperature being displayed.

I am unable to get the remote temperature to show on the base unit. It appears that there is no signal.

In general, batteries are installed in the remote transmitter first and time is allowed for the transmitter to begin sending data. Batteries are installed in the receiver next and you should see the outside temperature displayed.

Model 00754W4 does not sense outside temperature..new batteries have been placed correctly in both inside and outside units..noW what do I do?

We would recommend a reset of your unit. Please verify that you are using good-quality, standard alkaline batteries such as Energizer or Rayovac, then follow the steps below.
1. Bring both the sensor and display unit indoors and remove at least one battery from each.
2. Make sure the A-B-C switch on both units match. Sometimes changing to a different channel can help.
3. Reinstall the battery in the outdoor sensor.

4. Reinstall the battery in the display unit.
5. Let the units sit within a couple feet of each other for about 20 minutes to gain a strong connection.

Thermo clock RAR312 not picking up outdoor transmitter temperature. Replaced battery but still nothing.

take a paper clip and reset the reset button located in the battery compartment. Then, try each of the 3 channels until you get a reading in the outside temp field. Wait a good couple of minutes at each channel setting before determining the units are not pairing. Do this with the units side by side for signal acquisition, then once acquired, move the remote sensor outdoors. Hope this helps!

Outside temp does not read new batterys in both inside & outside unit

Double check the batteries to make sure they are installed correctly. If one of the batteries in the outdoor sending unit is in backwards, it will not send the outdoor data. On the indoor unit, there is typically one battery that is used for receiving the signal from the outdoor unit. If all of the batteries are in correctly but that one, you will see the display and the indoor temperature information, but the outdoor information will not be displayed.

Also,

If you have lost the outside temperature on the clock display after replacing the transmitter battery then do the following:

1. Make sure you have good batteries installed in the remote transmitter
2. Remove the batteries from the main clock and keep them out until the clock display disappers.
3. Re-install the batteries in the clock.
4. Wait until the display returns and includes the outside temperature display as well.
5. Set the clock again for current time/date etc.
6. Bingo. You are in business.
