It is asking for an access code to an access point . What is that?

I presume that the tablet detects a Wi-Fi network,since you say it won't go on to it.
A couple of points here - firstly this tablet will not go onto mobile broadband as there is no mention of a SIM card capability in the manual, which can be obtained in pdf format here:

OK - one point down, so now we are talking about wireless access points. If the tablet doesn't detect an access point, it obviously won't connect. If it can detect an access point, then you need the access code to join that particular network. When you tap on the access point SSID (identification), it should ask for a wireless key which you must enter in order to access the Wi-Fi network and get on line.

call you service provider and ask them to send you the internet settings then install the settings which they sent. then ask thme what is the access point name. when they say the access point name write in the following place settings -> connectivity-> packet data-> access point ->edit active access point . after writing in to it restart your phone then start using gprs. You must know these 3 parameters. Go to your Nokia mobile:

Tools->Settings->Access points->Click you Network Operator name like (AT&T)

Note down: Access point name, Username

Put these in touch access, use password as 0000 or 1234

If the above doesnot work, kindly contact network operator for password for Internet settings on dial-up modem.

Use the WLAN wizard to create an access point
1. You can access the WLAN wizard directly from your home screen's information area. Another way to get to the WLAN wizard is to select Menu > Connectivity > WLAN wizard.
2. If the search finds WLANs, you can create an internet access point - scroll to the connection, select Options > Start web browsing. If you select a secured WLAN, you will be asked to enter the relevant password. To connect to a hidden network, you must enter the correct network name (service set identifier, SSID).
3. To end the active connection, select the connection > Options and Exit. If you want to define whether you want to use the WLAN or packet data connection when starting to browse the web, you can set it so that the device always asks which access point is to be used.


Set up an access point inquiry when you open the browser
1. Select Options > Settings.
2. Select General > Access point, and from Always ask - You always get to select which access point you use.

Connect your router to computer with ethernet cable then you can access it with following default link.
http://192.168.0.1
or
http://192.168.1.1
If you are not able to access it with above ip then check your computers ip address gateway ip is your router ip try with it.
Then it ask for user name and password.
Type user as "admin" and password as "admin" or "password" or blank.
Then you can see configuration page of router.
Click on WAN settings and set those settings as your internet service provider settings.
Enable DHCP if you want to get ip from router.
Click on wireless settings enable wireless then enable WEP Security then add WEP code .It is your password to connect wi fi.Then save settings and restart router.
Then you can connect your wi fi network with that code.

this can be possible becoz of 2 reasons
1. U dont have any access point defined. So do one thing .. call ur network operator and ask them to send u the settings for mms. now store these settings and see if u r able to open this menu
2. THere is a bug in the OS. u will have to format ur phone.. *#7370# code(12345 default)..this solution will definately work and if u dont want to waste time calling ur operator format ur phone but backup ur data before doing tht

Well you cant, as its not your own connection, unless you ask ther person for there WEP access code.
