SOURCE: can't get GE profile cooktop clean

Don't buy one is a good start unless you like to spend a few hours everyday attempting to make it look clean. If you are OC you'll love the cooktop BTW. Crappy engineering and source selection. Include it in the price when you move.

SOURCE: Have a four burner gas GE Profile cooktop. How do

The igniter module is working fine. One of the switches (which are on each valve shaft) is stuck or shorted out. Pull a wire off each one at a time to determine which one is bad. Careful! 120 volts to each wire. Also, this can happen after you spill water into the valve area, if that sounds right, let it dry out.

SOURCE: GE Profile glass top cooktop- burners do not heat,

If none of the burners are working but the pilot light does you are having a power problem and only getting 120 volts to it. Check the breakers to make sure they are on correctly. 240 volts is needed to operate the cooktop. Hope this helps. Rick

GE JGP 945 continues to spark. Removed all igniters but continues to click. Bad Spark Module?

no,its a bad switch on one of the gas valves, they are piggybacked on the gas valve and are supposed to turn on and off as the valve is turned on and off,on has broken and is on all the time even with that valve in the off position, carefully remove each switch from the circuit till it no longer sparks with all the valves in the off position

I have a GE 30 in. Profile JP350 Cooktop. The large, front and right control seems stripped and will no longer control the cooktop. Also, the part that it sits on at the cooktop is not protruding up as...

Hi sounds like you have a busted switch assembly, this is very much fixable the part is around $50, but you would need to remove the top of the stove which requires pulling the unit from the counter, this is slightly more involved, but definitely doable i would also change the knob. A more accurate name would be infinite switch.

GE Cooktop drop-in model # jgp328bec2bb - how to take apart the cooktop,I need to replace the spark ignitor switch harness.

Turn off the gas, unplug the power.
Take the cooktop out of the cutout and support it on the countertop.
Remove all grates and valve knobs.
Remove all screws from the valves and the burners.
Remove the burner base plates.
You may have screw on the side holding the top to the base,if so,remove these too.
The top will separate from the bottom exposing your parts.

Ge model jgp326 ignitor is giving

you either have a bad licon switch on one of the burner valves or you got water or cleaner in one of the switches.. Unplug it and let it dry for a few days, if it does not work you need a new switch.

The on/off gas switch keeps buzzing in the on position!

Each gas valve has its' own ignitor spark switch.
One or more of your switches has shorted out.
Remove the panel to access the switches. Remove the wires from one at a time until the sparking spots. That will be the bad switch.
