I have the same problem, still can't fix it

    Hi
Had this same problem of my delonghi esam being stuck up high towards the right, with the blinking red lights.
From an off machine, turn it on then you’ll still see the blinking red lights; next do a prolonged press over the one and two cup button press both at the same time, the machine will reset and bring the infuser down. Keep pressing until the blinking red lights are gone and the one cup and two cup are in green and a steady red light over the warning button.
According to the manual this means that the inside of the machine is dirty—so clean it first then. (Turn the unit off) clean and turn it back on.
This worked for me i hope it does for you too.

Leave the power point turned on.
turn off machine at the power switch (on the unit)
This should bring the unit down....or
Turn off completely unit and power point and the just turn on the power point...this should bring the unit down

I just fixed the issue. The root cause is the steel piston rising along the threaded shaft was stuck so the plastic gear connected with motor by belt at the bottom of machine is cracked.
You need to
1. use security star torx bit to open the bottom
2. Dismount the motor
3. Disconnect the belt
4. open the plastic gear box cover
5. Clear the plastic gunk on the screw thread and manually turn the wheel to make piston down with the plastic slider.
6. Grease well the thread and move infusor up down a couple of times
7. Use jb cold weld glue to reinforce the plastic gear or buy new one

SOURCE: hello i have an Delonghi esam

I had this problem until I realised that you need to switch the machine off by pressing the on/off button on the front of the machine first *before* switching it off at the back and unplugging it. This moves the infuser unit further to the bottom and then allows you to take it out.

DeLonghi ECAM 23.460.SB always asks Insert Infuser Assembly but cannot remove it

The "Insert Infuser Assembly" message is indicating that the infuser assembly, which is the part of the machine that holds the coffee beans and dispenses them into the brewing process, is not properly inserted or engaged. It sounds like there might be a problem with the infuser assembly or the machine's ability to detect it.
There are a few things you can try to fix this problem:
  1. Check the infuser assembly to ensure that it is properly inserted and that there is no debris blocking the mechanism that detects the infuser.
  2. Inspect the claws of the infuser and try to use a needle-nose pliers or tweezers to remove any debris or grime that may be clogging the mechanism.
  3. Check the plastic piece above one of the claws and make sure it is not obstructing the infuser assembly from going all the way in or not allowing it to come out. If it's blocking the infuser you may try to manually move it so that it clears the path for the infuser to be inserted/removed.
  4. If none of the above methods works, try to reset the machine by unplugging it for a few minutes and then plugging it back in and starting it up again.
  5. If the problem persist, contact DeLonghi support. They will have access to more detailed troubleshooting steps and information about your specific model and can help you determine if there is a problem with the machine and provide recommendations for getting it fixed.
It's important to keep in mind that some machines also have a mechanism that prevent the infuser assembly to be removed while the machine is hot, thus it is essential to wait until the machine cools down completely before trying to remove the infuser assembly.

Delonghi dynamica infuser stuck

If the infuser on your DeLonghi Dynamica espresso machine is stuck, there are a few things you can try to release it:
  1. Turn off the machine and unplug it from the power source.
  2. Wait a few minutes to allow the machine to cool down.
  3. Press the infuser release button while gently pulling on the infuser.
  4. If that doesn't work, try gently pushing the infuser up and down while pressing the release button.
  5. If the infuser still won't budge, try applying some food-grade lubricant to the infuser and/or the infuser chamber.
  6. If none of these steps work, it's best to contact DeLonghi customer support or take the machine to a professional repair shop.

Unable to remove infuser, no warning light, reset multiple times, brews coffee fine

You should go to test mode and try moving infuser up and down to position when you can take it out it needs some skill of timing. After that you need to disassemble infuser completely clean it up and lube with special food grade lube. Also there could be a problem with transmission kit that cause this problem.

Yesterday and today the machine did not come on as normal it said press next + change, nyesterday when I did that it said generic alarm, but then worked, today the generic alarm would not go off. the book...

I had the same problem with the infuser stuck at the top and the triangle light staying lit. I fixed it by unplugging it from the wall. I then removed the side panel and the back panel.

Facing the rear move the sprocket that the motor drives. The best way to start it (if it is stuck) is with a flat screen driver on the right side of the motor and push the sprocket towards the front. Once it starts you can either pull the belt from the other side or push it from the right side. It took 10 minutes to get the infuser to completely come down.

After that I pulled it out and cleaned everything. When I put everything back together the light stayed on and the machine would not respond. I did fix it by turning on the machine, pulled the power plug, and when I plugged it back in the system went through its cycle. Everything is fine now.

Delonghi coffee machine making an aweful noise,

Hi. Husband asks: When you first turn the machine on at the power point, does it make a motor sound and then stop, or is the awful noise apparent at that time.

If the awful noise starts as soon as you turn it on, then most likely there is a motor problem which will need to be seen by a Service Center.

The machinge keeps asking to insert brewing unit but it seems to

The infuser does go in at a slight angle "11:45" ish. Be sure the tabs on the sides of the infuser "pop" back out when it's in place. Try unplugging the machine if all else fails and it will do a self diagnostic. You could also call Delonghi tech support.
