I have a watch from the NRA it is called Ridgeline YUKON. I need to change the battery but cant figure out how to take the back off the case.

How do you take the back of a wrist watch off so you can change the battery
The Proper way is with a "watch case wrench". They can be purchased for a few dollars on Amazon and E-bay. In most cases unless you are changing many watch batteries the best option is to call around to local jewelers and pawn shops and ask how much to replace a watch battery. In my town it ranges from $30 to as little as $5.99 battery included.

Need to open. coleman 40-334 watch not sure if the back is threaded
mcdevito75 here, If the back screws down, you"ll see a series of square holes around the edge of the back cover, in this case you"ll need a special tool called a case back remover tool to un-screw the back cover. If there are no square holes on the back cover, most likely it"s a press type back cover and some of these cavers are very hard to get back on wothout another tool called a case back press tool, these mentioned tools are available on ebay, but, with just a battery replacement, the time and tools you may need the cost is more than a watch repair shop would charge you. Best Bet, look for a small watch repair shop in your area for this once a year or even longer battery change.

Need to replace battery in my Colibri pendant watch. Can't figure out how to open case to change it.

  • Place the tip of your pocket knife in the slot on the back of the watch. Pry the back off.

  • Take your tweezers and grasp the metal piece that is hiding the battery.

  • Once that metal piece is out the battery should come out too.

  • Put the new battery in and cover it with the metal piece.

  • Put the back of the watch back on and snap it into place.

    How do you get the back off a men's armitron watch to change the battery? Took it to Walmart and they can't figure it out.
    Some backs pop off with a watch case opener or knife. Other case backs are removed with a special wrench which all watchmakers use routinely Take this to a watchmaker close to where you reside.

    Just bought a new diesel dz 7069 watch and theres no battery, but i cant figure out how to open it to put a battery in. Any suggestions?
    Generally Diesel uses a pop off back. The pop off back will be smooth and have no indication of how to come off.

    To remove a pop off back use a watch knife and press it straight into the separation between the case and back. Start at the upper right corner. Do not use a sharp knife or widdle back and forth as this may damage the surface where the seal is or make burrs. Once you have driven the knife straight in you can move around the back repeating this until the back is completely off.

    I have a Fossil JR8103 woman watch with leather strap and the face of watch is held on by two silver dots. I can't figure out how to get the face off so I can change the battery. Help!
    DONT try to change a watch battery yourself unless you have crystal press to close it and thats if the case back pops off...if it screws on then you need a case wrench to open and close it! Better to seek out a local watch repair business and avoid Walmart! :-P They arent trained to repair watches...Ive fixed a lot of their mistakes!
