SOURCE: lint trap

There should be a rectangular flap on the top panel at the rear right of your dryer. the lint filter is in a chute if there is just a hole here then the filter is missing.

SOURCE: Lint is not going into pull out lint trap. The lint screen is torn and lint is collecting behind trap.

Poor air flow would be my guess. How long is the vent hose? Does it have more than one angle/turn before venting outside? Is the lint gathering around the outer edges of the door? Keeping the length of air travel shorter will improve the operation.

SOURCE: need to know how to clean lint trap and where is

The only trap on a Kenmore Elite HE3 is in the drain pump. The following link explains how to access and clean it out:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r385844-checking_drain_pump_kenmore_elite_front

Read through the link provided and let me know if you have any questions. I personally own one of these washers and have repaired them many times. If you are experiencing drain problems, the problem will most commonly be attributed to the drain pump trap becoming clogged with debris. There's usually an error code associated with this problem of "F02". If you attempt to clean the drain pump and you discover the pump to be clear, check the drain lines (especially the line running from the bottom of the wash tub to the inlet side of the pump). If all these preliminary checks don't solve the problem, the manufacturer recommends replacing the drain pump.

If this is not what you were talking about, please post back and elaborate a bit more so I can understand the problem you are having. I hope this helps you.

SOURCE: Lint fell down the lint trap. How do I get it

Luckily, dryers are light. Best thing to do is pull it out until you can remove the back cover. (unplug it first) Then vacuum and clean all the dust and lint you can. This should be a yearly thing at least anyway. Replace the back plug it in and slid it back. I do mine every 6 months or so.

Where is the lint trap located?

Although I have never seen a lint trap on a washing machine ( only on a clothes dryer), I suppose there is such a thing as that.
To find out, I would type "SearsPartsDirect" into my search engine on my computer, and then type my model number into that web site when they ask for it.
Upon receiving a picture of the parts, I would search out "lint trap" and see if one is listed.
God bless your efforts.

My dryer drum will not turn...."how to change your dryer belt"

There are many styles and different models of dryers but the one thing they all have in common is the dryer has a belt that turns the drum.In the procedure below we will show you how to take apart your dryer, change your belt, and show you the correct threading of your belt. Here is a typical Kenmore dryer idler pulley(it has a plastic wheel on it) motor/pulley (the pulley is attached to the backside of the motor) and the belt configuration.Note the picture below.

Each different model dryer also has a different lint trap location. This location will have a bearing on how your dryer is taken apart and how to change your belt.

Note the location of your lint trap and choose the correct video on how to take your dryer apart. There are two different locations,on top,and in the door.

An old blanket disintegrated in my washing machine. Where is the lint trap located, so I can clean it? The model number is 41741122310

I am not familiar with a cleanable lint trap in washers, but there may be one in yours.
To find out, type "Searspartsdirect" into your search engine, and when you get that site, type your model number into the correct box and you machine will be displayed for you to look at.
(I did, it works well)
See if you can find a lint trap listed.
God bless your efforts.

I have a Kenmore 70 series Washing machine top load model 110 serial number 82870120 . where is the lint trap located and how to take out to clean? clothes have a lot of lint after being washed.

It is likely that a tissue or paper product was included with the wash load. The series 70 does not have a lint trap. At the hose connection to the house drain lint has been known to build up restricting the emptying. This buildup would not introduce lint into the washer.

If the water temperature is very very cold and you use powder detergent it will not dissolve completely into the water and will leave a white residue on the fabrics.

Try running a short load in the washer allowing for ample water to rinse out the machine before the next wash load.

Does a Amana commercial quality washer (model LWA50AW) have a lint trap?

You will need to remove the agitator and inner basket to access and replace the lint filter. It is best to replace the filter and not to try and clean it.
Here is a link to the filter.

Clothes are collecting a lot of lint when washing. Is there a lint filter? I have already tried running vinegar through a cycle.

not knowing the make and model,, I can offer you this ,, if your machine actually has a lint trap it will be located right before the pump under the machine, also,, try using a little more detergent, this helps cut down on the lint left in the machine and on clothes, if you reply to this feed i will try and locate your machine and check on the filter

Where is the filter?

Hi,
To find the filter you need to do the following steps. Find your lint trap. Lint traps in washing machines can be in the agitator (the large plastic piece in the center of the tub), at the top of the washer on the rim of the tub, or attached to the washing machine's drainage hose. Pull out the agitator tube to check for the lint trap. Peel any loose lint from the filter. Scrub away lint that doesn't peel off easily with a heavy-duty paper towel or a wet sponge. Feel your way around the top rim of the washing machine's basin. If you locate a trap, pull it straight out of the machine. Peel away loose lint and follow up with a wet sponge or heavy-duty paper towel. Check your machine's drainage hose for an attached lint trap. Remove the trap and peel the top layer of lint off. Rinse the trap in low-pressure, warm water. Reattach to the drainage hose. Check for and remove any lint or debris that may have dropped into the washing machine basin during the cleaning.

How to locate and clean the lint trap

Top load washing machines do have lint filters, they used older models have trays that sit on top of the agitator. Newer ones aren't as obvious and are attached to the bottom of the inner tub. If you remove the agitator, you'll see a bunch of holes in the bottom of the tub, the filter right behind these holes. Cleaning/replacing it involves removing the inner tub, so it's not an easy task. It is likely that by the time you're having problems with the filter, it will be beyond cleaning and will need to be replaced. Considering all the trouble it takes to get to, you might as well.
