It does sound like possibly measles, but you really need to have a medical person examine you since the appearance of rashes varies a lot and it will tell them a great deal just by looking. I do hope you have access to medical attention.

Hi, I have this strange rash on my leg, it’s really itchy and it hurts... I’ve tried putting on some bug bite creams but none of them have worked any advice?

Hello, Skyla -

Your rash needs to be looked at by a medical doctor, either a general practitioner or a dermatologist. Your healthcare insurance may provide for a visit to an urgent care clinic.

Without looking at the rash and questioning where you have been prior to the outbreak, no one can know what is causing the rash.

It could be a case of poison ivy, poison oak, or some other plant irritant. It could be a case of shingles. Who knows?

Go to a doctor.

Best wishes.
