sending fax is working alri.ght, only when I try to recieve fax it gives an error 30 on the display. At the same time it unable to clean. Please help me with this.

you probably had a document that was not using 8.5 x 11 paper or the print settings were the printer to use the manual tray.

Usually this is caused by a foreign object or debris under the printhead path, or under where the printhead "parks."
Unplug the machine. Open the cover. Check the printhead path for little bits of paper, push pins, paperclips, staples etc. Note the location of the printhead.
If the printhead is at the far left, gently slide it towards the center (do not force it). Look carefully under where the printhead was stopped for debris. Use a flashlight if necessary.
Close the cover. Plug in the unit. Try again.

When ever you get an error message like the one you are describing, there should be a numerical code with it.
Most of the time when you get an error code like this, it is a mechanical problem with the machine.
Try unplugging the power for about 5 minutes to see if that clears it out, otherwise you might as well replace it. A machine like this has been discontinued and is not worth paying for repairs.

Do you mean MFC 210?
Simply put paper into the papertray which can be found infront of the printer (beneath the display). You can pull the paper tray out to configure the paper size. In case you still have trouble, download the handbook and the quick set-up instruction of your mfc from the brother homepage of your country as a pdf file. It explains some important issues of paper size and the handling.
