HP Officejet 5610 All-In-One InkJet Printer Logo
Posted on Jul 19, 2009

I have a hp office jet 5610 with document feeder. When I scan a multipage document the first page comes out ok, but the second and succeding pages have a single vertical line through them about 1/3 of the way from left to right.

The way to fix this is to do the following: lift the lid, clean the glass with window cleaner and a paper towel. (WARNING! Spray window cleaner onto the paper towel not the glass. Spraying directly onto the glass could cause you to get shocked or worse short out the officejet.) Wipe glass with dry paper towel.

On page 112 of the owner's manual it shows how to open the document feeder. Spray some window cleaner (just to were its damp) onto the swab and gently clean the the glass. take a paper towel and dry the glass.

This should take care of any lines on scanned images.

How do i get my hp officejet j6480 all in one scan both sides and print

To automatically scan and print, you need to use the automatic document feeder (for letter-sized documents) and have the HP Automatic Two-sided Printing Accessory installed.

Then to use the duplex printing feature, you need to set the printer properties to use the duplex feature. In Windows, open a document to print then click on File Print. Choose Setup and then Properties or Preferences (depending on your OS). Then click on the Features tab and set Two-sided Printing to Automatic. (This is a drop-down menu on the Features tab.)

You also need to set the scan settings for two-sided in the HP Solution Center. (If you just want to copy the document, you can set this from the Control Panel on the J4680.)

If you want to do this manually, you can scan each side of the pages. Then print them one page at a time. Then when the ink is dry, put the page back into the paper tray. (Note: this could result in paper jams.) The printer prints on the underside of each page put into the paper tray with the top of the page printing on the forward part of the page.

I hope this helps.

4215 all in one office yet. When making a copy

Sounds like you're having a problem with the automatic document feeder. The scanner is continuing to scan but the paper is not advancing as it should during the first part of the infeed. Check to see if something is inside retarding the path of the scanned document. Or it could be worn rollers in the ADF.

I can scan using HP director by loading one page at a time on glass, but when I try to use the "scan to" button on the printer, it lets me select computer, then I choose save to a file and it comes back...

I had this problem and had to re-install the software. It might have been caused by installing a second HP printer, or perhaps from unplugging the printer to move it. Don't know.

Partical scanns

HP is having lots of problems with their scan routines. They really tried, but not quite up to what Windows needs...

consider using MS Office document scanning. It really works well. Find it in microsoft Office folder, Tools, folder.

Problem scanning multi page document

You do not say which software you are using but if you can afford PixEdit you can save to multipage tiff, Pdfs and so on. Also combine singlepage and mulitpage documents to one mulitpage and vice verca.
