I have a nokia 301. Tried to access the internet and was told that I needed to upgrade to Opera Mini. How do I do this?

very smart dileep... either u dont have any idea or u forgot to mention the access rights for java applications on 3230 mobiles. ppl using smart phones are not dumb enough that they cant understand GPRS/ minimum balance is there or not...

well, just go to globe services on your mobile phone and look for prepaid services. then look for GPRS settings

If you have not received the GPRS settings on your phone then you cannot connect with the internet.To receive the GPRS settings as a configuration message please contact your service provider.After you have received the message open it save it and then restart your phone to access internet via GPRS.

First of all,you should download opera mini 5 from the internet.if you have Nokia 2690 with data cable then you can easily access internet on your computer.you can make your Nokia 2690 as a modem.how should you do this? i am giving you some tips as follows.please keep it up.
1) Open http://www.google.com
2) Type Opera mini for Nokia 2690 on Google search bar
3) Click on http://www.megamobilecontent.com/software/Nokia-2690/Opera-Mini-i16804/
4) Click on Opera Mini (5.1.21214) Download

After downloaded Opera Mini.jar file (size is 266kb) on your computer,
5) Open opera mini.jar file
6) if you have installed Nokia PC Suite then message appear:- Do you want to install the application to the phone?
7) Click on right tick button that is YES.
8) After installation, message comes,Installation complete.
9)Open your Nokia 2690
10) Click on Applications
11) Click on Collection
12) There at last you will find opera mini icon.
but before running it.i suggest you restart your mobile at once.now you can surf internet through opera mini 5 regularly basis.

do you cell have java software loaded?

yes okay you need to download (both of these need to be loaded onto your cell)
1- opera-mini-4.2.14912-advanced-en-us
2- opera-mini-4.2.14912-advanced-en-us.jad

plus the operamini latest version compatible to your cell...
if you have internet this will access much faster
