Try to remove bios battery on the inside and short the pins with something iron like a screwdriver for a few seconds, remove the battery pack too when doing this, you should be fine after that,
ps. you might need to set some bios parameters when starting up again

Dell latitude d610 laptop

Collyod,
If you know the password you can start the computer and tap the f2 key to enter. The tab to the security screen to add/remove bios password. If you do not know the password you will need to contact Dell Support and have them reset the password. They will verify ownership of the computer and then provide resetting information.
Thank You,

How to get bios administrative password for dell latitude D630 system number 875XYH1-595B BIOS REVISION A17

there is only two ways to get this pasword. 1 you must use the reset disk that came with your computer or 2. if you do no have this disk you need to contact dell and have them send you one without it you cant do anything. if you take it to someone they are just ging to do this and charge you a lot making it seem like it is hard to do and its an easy fix.

Changing cpu performance

Update the BIOS and the chipset from the manufacturer.

Uninstall the unnecessary softwares from the system.

Clear temorary files and folders.

Try to do a disk defragmenter on the hard drive.

If your system has low RAM (256/512 MB) then it is advisable to increase the RAM to 1 GB / 2 GB.

Have very few startup programs (to change the startup programs Go to Run -> msconfig -> Startup.

Hope this helps.

Black and white lines after bios screen before boot up

The issue appears to be cosmetic if the system boots to WIndows and there are no display issues using the system. Some systems I've seen have a bit of video distortion between the BIOS splash screen and the desktop. A couple things may change that. Update the system BIOS and the video driver to the most current available

Dell latitude D610 start up screen goes to black quickly and stays black

It sounds like your onboard graphics has possibly failed. If you have an additional monitor to connect to it you can see if the additional video gives any video. If it doesn't during startup then you have to replace the system board.
