It sounds like the cycle shaft is not fully in home
position. With the machine OFF, try to turn the print shaft (the steel shaft with the single groove that goes through the carriage) top towards the back of the machine. Then turn the machine on. Try the space bar first. If it works, your machine probably needs the cycle clutch spring adjusted or replaced.

Go to LEXMARK.COM and click your way to publications you will find a downloadable manual there.

If the hammer isn't striking the paper the print solenoid cap is probably broken. We sell them for 20.00 includes shipping and instructions.

Keys strike paper but don't space

Is it all of the keys or just some of the keys don't space? Check to see if the lang light is turned on. If it is, hold down the control button (the button left of the spacebar) and hit the letter "X" and see if the light goes out.

Cant enter codes in Eurovox ex1000 sl

Hi,

if you need to manually enter the keys a different procedure is required to previous versions of the firmware.

To access the key entry screen try the following:

On the remote press "Menu".
Highlight "Language Settings" and press "OK".
Highlight "1st audio lang" or "2nd audio lang" or "Subtitle lang" NOT "Menu language", then press the buttons 1,9,6,8 in order.
The key entry screen should now be visible.
Use the left/right arrow keys or "FAV" button to find the "NagraVision" screen which contains the keys for UK service providers.

to reveal the "Emulation" and "EMM Capture" Highlight "Menu language"
, then press the buttons 1,9,6,8 in order.

Wheelwriter 6 typewriter hammer no longer strikes

It is pretty common for the pad on the solenoid to strike the keys wears out, and for the batteries to be dead for the memory. Your machine probably needs a good cleaning, oiling, and a new pad for the striker. about $100.00 in the shop.
