Bobbin thread shows on embroidery pattern

The bobbin thread is being pulled too hard by the top thread. The idea is to get an even pull similar to a tug of war. When it is even the thread will form a knot in the middle of the fabric.
To fix this so the top thread isn't pulling too hard lower the tension of the top thread. This should fix it.

My New Home SD 2014 is set to ziz zag stitch but keeps sewing straight stitches.Randomly starts to do ziz zag then goes back to straight. Can anyone help

the gear or cam inside the sewing machine could be worn or broken, it would be a good idea to have the sewing machine checked at a repair shop.

My singer simple is missing stitches when ziz zagging? only appears to be on the top

I would try a metal bobbin, SA 156 or a Singer 15j. The SA 156 metal bobbins can be bought really cheap on ebay for $8.99 free shipping and there are 20 in the package. My 3116 sometimes will act up with the plastic bobbins and this cleared it up for me. Hope this helps you. You may be able to find the bobbins local because it is the same one they use in Brother machines but they will cost you more. Good luck

Top thread keeps breaking during sewing. Tension adjustment does not solve the issue. Also, machine is skipping stiches and will not sew anything but a straight stitch: needle moves in the ziz=zag or...

This could be more than one issue, first I don't think you have the machine threaded correctly. Make sure when you thread that the thread is seated betweeen the tension disc on the top and also, make sure that you have properly but tin the bobin
