Hi. I have a hoover 5kg washing machine (mpo1 ipx4) that i want to sell. What year is it and any ides (roughly) what it is worth in good working order?

have you done a clean ,hoover have this built in you need to do every so often the filter could be clogged do a clean don't put anything in when your doing this ,how old is it

You have diagnosed the problem yourself. Now you need to get a quote for the repair, which is a major job. Call around your local repairers and see if they will give you a rough estimate, without having to pay for a call out.

You might find it is better to replace the machine.

Also always best not to overload the machine. For example a 5Kg machine does not mean that it will take 5KG worth of dry towls. Imagine the weight of the towls once soaked. That will probably be 3 bath towls max.

I would not buy a used appliance!
Just putting good money into bad. Unless I can afford to fix it.
And I f so I would be better buying a cheap new one and take the extended warranty in today's market.
But everyone's not me!

possibly bearings in which case not really worth repair

sounds like a spring which keeps the tub centred is broken. Could also be a worn bearing. this needs specialised tools to get the problem fixed, especially to replace the bearing. contact a repair-person.

if it,s 7 years old. you,ve had your moneys worth. Scrap it and buy a new one.
as a repair solution, Check that the machine is emptying.
And that the pump has,nt got a coin/badge or anything else wedged in it.
