Most machines require a foot or knee control to run the motor. There are some new computerized machines that have a push button that makes the machine sew continuously, but they are usually high-end machines (several thousand $).

Singer heavy-duty 4411 the feed dog's are moving it just not coming up all the way to move fabric and the button to adjust feed dog's is on up my machine has not dust or lint

The Singer 4411 has a hidden switch to raise and lower the feed dogs. It's on the back of the machine near the presser foot. You have to remove (slide to the left, from the front of the machine) the extension table/accessory box to access the switch. Move the switch away from the body of the machine to raise the presser foot. See page 24 of the manual for the picture.

The manual is available on the product page: https://www.singer.com/heavy-duty-4411-sewing-machine. The current link to the manual is https://manuals.singer.com/Manuals/RetrievePDF/608 .

I hope this helps.

How to wind bobbin on model 4411

Do you mean the Singer 4411 Heavy Duty sewing machine? If so,
first place the spool on the spool pin with an appropriate sized spool holder, if you are starting the project. Snap the thread into the thread guide to the left of the of the spool pin. Wrap the thread clockwise around the bobbin winder tension discs (slightly to the left and forward of the thread guide). Bring thread towards the bobbin spindle. Thread the bobbin (put the thread through the hole in the bobbin). Place the bobbin on the spindle with the hole up. Move the bobbin spindle to the right. Hold onto the thread above the bobbin and step on the foot control pedal. When the bobbin finishes winding the thread, cut the thread at the top of the bobbin and the incoming thread from the spool. Move the bobbin spindle to the left and remove the bobbin. If you have already threaded the machine for sewing, you will need to remove it from the various guides and tension discs that are used in sewing. Then after winding the bobbin, re-thread the top thread.

The directions to wind the bobbin are in the manual on page 12 (page 19 of the PDF). You can find many Singer manuals at the Singer support page: https://www.singer.com/support . The 4411 support page is https://www.singer.com/search/support?lp=support&title=4411 . The current link to the manual is https://www.singer.com/sites/default/files/product_manual/SINGER%204411%20Heavy%20Duty%20Sewing%20Machine.pdf .

I hope this helps.

I have a Singer 4411 and the feed dogs lower/raise switch appears to be disengaged. Has anyone seen this on the heavy duty models? Best, Jordan

Well that can be deceiving, and here's why. Once you lower the feed dogs, when you want to raise them up again, they won't just go up. You have to turn the hand wheel TOWARDS you (ALWAYS towards you) several times, and you will then eventually hear a click.

That's true of most machines from any manufacturer. In fact, I have a friend that got a steal on a Brother because they thought it was broken, and that was the only problem!

I have new Singer 4411...and only 2 kind of stitches. Zig- zag and strait. Help!!!!

If it is brand new, take it back to the vendor where it was purchased. Otherwise, it is most likely still under warranty.

Why is needle hitting zipper foot on left side only?

When the needle is set on the center position, is it centered or is it slightly off center? If so, then the mechanism needs to be adjusted so that the needle is perfectly centered. When it is off-center, you will get the problem you are experiencing with hitting one side of the zipper foot. May want to take it in for service.

How to thread a bobbin on singer 4411 sewing machine

If you've threaded the bobbin per instructions... then make sure your needle isn't damaged, bent, or dull. Also make sure the needle is seated fully and correctly oriented into the needle bar.
