I've had the phone locked for months and I can't reset it so it looks the way it does when you first get it. I don't know if it'll work if I have a friend erase the device from the apple id if it's disabled, right? I really need help with this, please.

So I had the same problem using a Network Solutions mail account and got it working. Here is what I did:
Name: Whatever you want
Address: [email protected] (user specific) Must include the @domain
Description: same as above
INCOMING MAIL SERVER
User Name: [email protected] (user specific) Must include the @domain
password: password
OUTGOING MAIL SERVER
Host name: smtp.domain.com
Username:no entry
password:no entry
At message that SSL failed select YES to continue without using SSL should get message twice (incoming & outgoing server tests)
Made no changes to Authentication (default-password) or Server port (default-25)
Came up and began to load mail instantly.Sent test mail and all is good.

Ok, what you need to do is a full restore and unlock again. First you need to get it in Recovery Mode so the computer can read it. Press power and home buttons while connected VIA USB till you get the message in the Itunes that you need to restore, then restore and unlock.
If you dont know how to unlock www.iclarified.com, they have really good tutorials step by step.
Best regards,

Ok I have this problem, rite now and i just cme off of the phone with an apple support technician. Ok when ur logo is up...hold down the home and sleep buttton until the apple logo dissapears...now ur phone should be off. Make sure ur iphone is not connected to usb so far...wait 2 minutes and open itunes on ur comp, and plug one end of the usb cable into your computer...now, hold down the home button DO NOT LET GO, and while holding it down, plug in the usb cable into your iphone and wait for itunes to say that it has discovered an iphone in recovery mode, after u see it in itunes, let go of home button and click ok. Now, click restore and you are on your way to a working iphone again :D if any more problems email me at [email protected], so i can give you further information.

Hi, what is the generation of your iPhone? Your iPhone is disabled because you tried to unlock it but entered the password incorrectly too many times. You can restore your phone in iTunes then jailbreak to unlock. Please provide more information about your iPhone.
